Where Can I Listen To The King Of Battle And Blood Audiobook Legally?
Finally diving into this spicy fantasy series, but I’m picky about supporting authors properly. Which legal audiobook platforms carry 'King of Battle and Blood' by Scarlett St. Clair?

I'm waiting to see if it comes to my library's streaming service, Kanopy. They've started adding audiobooks alongside their films. It's a long shot, but Kanopy is another free resource with your library card that people often overlook for audio content.

OverDrive is the system behind Libby. Some libraries still use the classic OverDrive website to manage loans. You can sign in there with your library card and search. The interface is older, but it's the same catalog. Another portal to the same free, legal resource.

If all else fails, tweet at the author or publisher. They're usually happy to point fans toward legitimate sources. It's also a nice way to show your enthusiasm for their work. A simple "Loving the book, where's the best place to get the audiobook?" often gets a quick reply.

Is there a dramatized version with a full cast? Sometimes fantasy series get that treatment. I'd pay extra for that. The standard narration is good, but a multi-cast production would be next level. I haven't found one for this title, but a fan can dream.

Spotify includes it with a Premium subscription, which is a pretty sweet deal if you're already paying for music. You can just add it to a playlist and listen anywhere. Audible is the most obvious choice, of course, but I've been using Spotify more for audiobooks lately just for the convenience of one app. It's definitely on there—just search the title and it should pop right up.

He circled her slowly.
"Strip. Get on your knees." His silver eyes burned. "I'm going to f** you until your legs give out."
Seraphina held his gaze without flinching.
"No." A slow smile curved her lips. "I decide now. And you'll beg before I let you taste me."
His mouth opened, then shut back. The most powerful king on the continent went silent.

She was an omega maid auctioned as tribute to settle a war debt while carrying her alpha's secret child and a bloodline that could bring every alpha to his knees.
King Vaelarion wanted her body. He never planned on needing her soul. But Seraphina Vale didn't survive twenty-two years of chains to spend the rest of her life on someone else's terms.
In a world where werewolves rule from the shadows, Rhett Blackwood is king. To hold his empire, he must forge a blood bond with a ruthless assassin who would rather kill him than kneel. But when one act of violence awakens a bond written in fate — and blood — they are thrown into a brutal war where love may be their only weapon… and their greatest curse.

Book one of the Sicilian Ruin Series
She was the fire he thought he had extinguished.
He was the ruin she barely escaped.
Three years ago Amara Varela vanished without a trace --- betrayed, broken, and hunted by the man who once owned her heart. Now she's back in Sicily, not as the naive girl he left behind, but as a woman forged by survival and secrets. She has a score to settle and Luca Moretti is at the top of her list
Luca, the heir to the brutal Moretti empire, never forgives himself for losing her. When he finally finds her alive, everything he buried erupts --- lust, rage, obsession. But the Kingdom he now rules is built on blood, and his bride-to-be is not the one who haunts his dreams.
Torn between a crown he never wanted and a woman who could destroy it all, Luca must choose loyalty or desire, power or love.
In a world of violent cartels, arranged alliances, and ruthless vendettas, Amara and Luca's reunion is anything but tender. It's a war. And their passion? It could burn Sicily to the ground.
Dark. Obsessive. Addictive.
This is not a love story.
This is a Sicilian ruin.
A mountain, once a towering monument to man's ambition, now sobbed rust and decay. Its skeletal skyscrapers clawed at a sky choked with ash, an endless darkness that reflected the desolation below. Here, where survival was a brutal equation of scavenged scraps and desperate violence, whispers clung to the crumbling ruins like the ever-present dust. Whispers of a legend, a shadow lurking in the deepest, forgotten heart of the mountain: a monster.
They called him the Blood King, a name hissed with fear and reverence. Not just another vampire, but a predator whose power had once threatened to consume all of man-kind. He is said to be so great that no one was a match to his strength, his wrath so terrible, that the ancients themselves, the very inventors of their shadowed presence, had deemed him too dangerous to roam free. They imprisoned him, not in chains of iron, but in a cage of blood. A cage that could only be unlocked by the one whose essence was his destined key, his chosen one. A cruel contradiction, a punishment designed to bind him for eternity.
Unknown to them all that the blood king’s chosen one was a human adventurer, who lived for the thrill and would do anything for a fearful adventure.
Adrian has spent his entire life surrounded by death.
As the human executioner of the Demon King, he is the blade that ends traitors, monsters, and enemies of the crown. Cold. Efficient. Unfeeling.
At least, that’s what everyone believes.
But when the ancient Demon King Vaelreth begins to take an unusual interest in the quiet man who carries out his judgments, something dangerous begins to grow between them.
In a world where demons and humans were never meant to stand side by side—let alone feel something deeper—the line between loyalty, obsession, and love begins to blur.
And in the Demon Kingdom…
Love can be far more dangerous than death.
Does the audiobook have multiple narrators, or is it a single voice? For a story presumably focused on the King's perspective, a single, strong narrator might be more effective. Multi-cast can be amazing, but it has to fit the point-of-view structure of the book.
The ebook has highlights and quotes that are easy to revisit. There are some deliciously dramatic lines in there. With the audiobook, those lines are ephemeral—you hear them, you react, they're gone. If you're the type who likes to screenshot a particularly good line or trope, stick with the ebook. The audio is for the experience; the text is for the keepsakes.
I found it a bit monotone in the middle sections. The initial intensity and the climax were great, but during the political buildup and world-building explanations, the narration lacked energy and started to blend into background noise for me.
My final, utterly non-scientific piece of evidence: I didn't get lost. With abridged books, I often find myself confused about how characters got from A to B, or why they suddenly feel a certain way. The connective tissue is missing.
That never happened here. The plot unfolded with clear cause and effect, and the character motivations remained consistent and understandable throughout. For my brain, that's the ultimate test. It passed with flying colors. It's the whole story.
Look on Libro.fm. They're a great alternative to Audible because they support independent bookstores with each purchase. I bought my copy there. The app is solid, and you can either use a membership credit or buy it directly. They definitely have the rights for it.
