So after some research, I found out that Pihu Singh has 8 episodes. It’s great that there’s so much content available online these days but the information is scattered. It’s mostly specific to a niche. I found the thread above to be an interesting insight into how people can remember or search for different information online.

The only thing that matters for a viewer is how many episodes are playable on the platform on which they are subscribed. This information is available from the primary source, that is the interface of the platform on which you have subscribed to the show. For me, ‘Pihu Singh’ has 8 episodes on the platform I subscribe to. All else is just noise.

I didn’t finish this one after three episodes or so. It was fine. I never found out how many episodes it had total – perhaps 8? It seems that a lot of musical comedies have 8 episodes, but this one just didn’t grab me. The conflicts felt kind of manufactured, and the songs and dances were always kind of pleasant but never actually sort of integral to the rest of the episode. I know lots of people like it, though.

I’ve heard lots of people say how much they love Cannan, but this show just didn’t grab me. It might be just me, though – I need a really strong starting point to get interested in a new show, and then carry on even if the rest of the episodes are variable. To that end, the episode count for Cannan is pretty irrelevant. Maybe it goes to 80 or something, but who knows? First 8 episodes are where it’s at, and right now I just don’t care about any of the conflicts going on in this show.

Just Google it and the first 5 results all confirm that there are 8 episodes. It’s obvious, I don’t get why I have to post about this in a forum. It took me less time to search for this answer than it did to write this post. Of course, the number of episodes is a key factor in determining whether or not something can be considered a low-risk watch, and for me 8 episodes is the sweet spot.

This is an 8-episode series that can be easily started after dinner and finished before bedtime, which in today’s 100-episode-and-counting world of web series is a very good thing. Within the scope of the series, the character development is sufficient to care about the people, the conflicts are resolved in a way that seems true to who they are, and it ends with a sense of closure. More episodes wouldn’t necessarily be better.
