The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla romantic options can be had with a number of NPCs, but the story generally treats them as serially exclusive. This means that while you can have romantic relationships with a variety of characters, there is no real polyamorous romance going on – rather you pick a new partner for each new story chapter. I’d be interested in a story that really explored the dynamics of a single main character falling deeply in love with multiple love interests. True North: Paranormal Reverse Harem follows a single woman and her developing, deep and genuine, relationships with a number of supernatural beings living in a small town in Alaska. They form in parallel to her main story and are just as deeply committed.

I just had to bring back up to talk about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla because I’ve been going back and forth between Story Mode and Several Hundred more Preparation Matches, and the Romances in the game are just so……wild for me. I can definitely be pursuing multiple characters for Romantic Storylines, and there’s never really any negative consequences for Eivor for exploring other options for them before sticking with one of them. The way the game handles Romance for Eivor really just feels right for the story that they’re trying to tell for this particular Viking character.

Of course, not all the romance storylines in the game are created equal. The two most “serious” are probably Randvi’s storyline, where the choices you make can have some lasting effects in other story arcs, and the lukewarm/latent storyline withिष 구조 Snær (the Iceland annalista, not the manic Mickey Mouse-ish berserker Snorir). But anyway, there’s no way the game would shame you for being a player character that tries to juggle multiple lovers. Mass Effect is the kind of RPG that’d get hung up on that sort of thing (妓There are a lot of connections in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but like Eivor’s, they’re mostly transitory. A very RPG-esque way to make an RPG about a nomadic group of people. Just have fun exploring Eivor’s hopeless romantic side, or letting them run wild as a carefree spirit enjoying the fleeting nature of the moment. Your call.

I think it’s pretty doable to romance a bunch of characters in ‘Valhalla’, and that is probably one of the strongest points of the game. Because there are no consequences for your actions in terms of story progression, you can really develop Eivor’s story the way you want to. I rolled with Randvi first, but then later came back to some of the other characters and it all felt very natural. Unlike some other games where you’d be worried about making the “wrong” choice for a romantic option, in ‘Valhalla’ it just feels like more story to explore.

In terms of how the game actually plays out in terms of story and missions for Romance interests in Valhalla, it serves a bit of a flavor purpose versus mechanics. Unlike Dragon Age where you can get into these unique storylines and even uniquely complete missions for your Romantic interest, as well as unique ways to complete said interests for Endings (versus the typically similar three story Endings for normal interests in DA), or even Cyberpunk: 2077 where completing Missions for a given interest can even unlock new ones, Ubisoft’s approach focuses more on a simple character development function in story rather than unlocking unique pursuits with said character(s).

It’s also cool in that it is reflective of Eivor’s personality. So there’s the more playful ones, some of the more bittersweet ones and even a few of them have kind of ties to Norse mythology which is really cool. My favorite actually is the one with Ciara from the Wrath of the Druids DLC. It was this really beautiful, really poetic, really tragic story and I think that really stuck with me as well. Obviously, the people at Ubisoft wanted to make a game where you could kind of have a space to tell your own stories and I think they did a really good job of that as well. The only “stake” really is that there isn’t really any heartbreak minigame or some kind of jealousy system and I think that really works in this game as well.

Can you? Yes. Should you? That’s up to you to decide in your role-play. My first Eivor was sort of faithful to one of the characters, and therefore their storyline had even more significance to me. But on my second playthrough through, I went for a full romance with all of them, and it just became this accumulation of lots of stories. But again, neither of them was ‘wrong’ to play, and the game supports playing both ways. It’s a great testament to the very open role-playing that there’s no punishment for not behaving in a certain way, and therefore you can decide for yourself what sort of person Eivor is, and it’s a really nice bit of narrative freedom.

Think of the alignment restrictions for romance more in terms of narrative than in terms of numbers on paper. A Good character falling for both Arue and then breaking her heart for good would be incredibly cruel. Even if the game didn’t shift the Good character down to Evil as a result, they’d be violating their own moral code. An Evil character, on the other hand, could be using romantic conquests to try to manipulate people or to further their own interests. In that case, it would be entirely within their character. The system is there to give you a framework, but it’s up to you and how you choose to play the story out as to whether it’s heroic, villainous, or something more tragically human. A sandbox for exploring the ethics of story.

What are the consequences of multiple romances in BG3?

When you’re trying to resist the Dark Urge to become evil in a story, being in a loyal romance is your strongest storyteller mechanic to remain good. Your partner can talk you down from the edge, prevent certain scenarios from playing out and even help write you out of sticky situations. Burning that bridge by cheating on them, however, removes that check on your behavior and has far-reaching consequences that can even alter the soul of your protagonist and change the ending for you.

Can you romance Minthara in BG3 as a good character?

7 Answers2025-08-09
Trying to make Minthara work on a good-aligned run is sort of mentally strenuous to attempt. Minthara isn’t cute, Minthara isn’t lenient towards good creatures - she is drow, and an exceptionally brutal one at that. As described in her write-up, she completely masterminded the mass-kill of a tiefling refugee camp. You had to side with the goblin camp to bring her to your party, helping to orchestrate said slaughter. Trying to justify it to access the romance content would feel like stretching to an extreme to alter one’s character in order to gain access to Minthara’s unique romance story. It could be headcanoned that Minthara is slowly redeemed from her evil ways later on in the story, but the act that kickstarts the romance is so evil and repulsive that it would taint the entire rest of the playthrough. Instead, it would serve as a narrative paradox that the player would have to ignore in order to gain access to the content that they desire.

Who are the romance options in BG2?

Anomen’s romance is all about seeing worth in him despite his usual flaws. His entire self-esteem is rooted in becoming a knight and redeeming his family name. As he struggles along the way, you help him realize that he has worth even when he fails. When he finally succeeds, you help keep his ego in check. The Anomen romance explores ways to challenge toxic masculinity and deal with the incredible pressure that our culture puts on its males. Sure, Anomen is a jerk at times, but he’s also a product of a rather demanding and strict culture, and it’s up to you to help him find his way to either change or peace with himself.

Can you romance Lae'zel and Shadowheart in BG3?

The polyamory option is very specific and needs to be completed in a very specific order, mostly following the drow twins in Act 3. As opposed to other true throuples, this is a one time, very consensual arrangement. Trying to continue two full romances without this trigger will eventually blow up in your face.

Can you romance Viconia in BG2?

I really appreciate that her romance doesn't fall into the "fix her" trope, which is so overdone. The best outcomes for her are probably when her love meets her halfway. So your character can become more practical and less foolishly naive to the world's cruelties. And Viconia can learn that not all surface-dwellers are pompous sentimental fools who will inevitably betray her. It's a mutual growing process, not a redemption story. Even in the 'better' ends, Viconia is still very much herself: sharp, suspicious, powerful Viconia. Not some tamed, softened companion love interest. That would be terrible. All companion romances should be treated this way.

Can you romance bg3 halsin as a dark urge?

5 Answers2025-08-13
A lot of people have commented on this before, and generally it works for a ‘redeemed’ or resistant Durge, but not so much for an ‘embrace’ Durge (since Halsin gained approval of the hero Durge through heroic actions, it would be somewhat difficult to maintain a high approval rating as a monster). But that would be some fun metagaming, in order to do good things in front of Halsin and evil things when he isn’t around. Of course, all of this would depend on good roleplaying of the Urge that you’re hiding, and of your hidden duplicity from your lover. Some really dark and complex roleplaying could be created here, and while there may not be specific written content for it, the scenario you create could be extremely rich.

Does Seasons of Loss Android have multiple endings?

9 Answers2026-04-02
How do the multiple endings of this game compare? I just finished playing this game and went with what I felt was a middle-of-the-road ending. I’m not really a right-off-the-bat re-play of a story driven game kind of guy, so the only way I’d be to replay this for more endings is if each of them offered up substantially different scenes and/or some real character development that entirely changes one’s perception of prior scenes and interactions. How different are the various endings here?
