I still find her presence one of those quietly effective pieces of storytelling that keeps the emotional stakes messy and real.

There are a handful of episodes in 'Outlander' where Laoghaire really squares off with Claire, and if you binge them back-to-back you can feel the jealousy and tension build like a slow burn.

If you’re thinking of visiting, it’s worth knowing Midhope is on private land and the castle itself is not a tourist attraction with guided tours; you can view it from public footpaths and nearby roads, and many fans walk the trails that pass by to get photographs. Be respectful of the fields, follow any signage, and remember erosion and safety are real concerns — the site isn’t set up for large crowds.
