The Dragons Fire Dancer
Rori’s voice echoed off the walls, and she could swear it sounded more animal than human.
Henry growled in frustration and as he worked to dislodge Rori from his back, he dropped the book on the floor, and it slammed closed with what sounded like the agonizing cries of thousands of souls. Henry grabbed Rori by the hair and flipped her over his head, slamming her small body to the floor with a thud. As Rori tried to regain her breath Destiny landed on the ground next to her, “Rori help us” she cried and as Rori looked up to see Henry stalk back toward them with the book in his hands again, she brought her body up off the floor with all the strength she could muster and as the book started to glow once again with its haunting blue light Rori opened her mouth to speak, but her voice was overshadowed by the intense screaming cry of an enormous angry beast. Rori looked around for Destiny and Andy, but she could no longer find them, looking around frantically she heard the blood-curdling roar again and as she rose to her feet, she heard the large glass wall behind her shatter as a magnificently dark red scales and wings came crashing
through the wall.
