SoulStory
Synopsis
Sera has never left her village, and she's never had magic, not until the day a wildfire comes for everyone she loves and her bare hands carve it a border it cannot cross. Fire affinity was supposed to have died out a century ago, hunted into extinction by the noble houses who rule the continent's most prestigious academy. Now Sera is the first fire mage born in a hundred years, and the moment she steps through Ember Academy's gates, the whole school realizes exactly what that means. Publicly tested, publicly marked, and hunted by a prophecy she never asked to fulfill, Sera has to survive a world built by people who believe magic belongs to blood, not to will, all while a cold, guarded rival named Dorian Vale, the last son of a fallen house, becomes the only person inside those walls who might actually be on her side.
Three sentence selling points:
Sera is the first fire mage born in a hundred years, an ordinary village girl thrown into a school built entirely to prove people like her shouldn't exist.
Every noble house on the ridge wants to own her, erase her, or use her, and the only person who doesn't want anything from her is the one boy she was warned not to trust, Dorian Vale.
A prophecy older than the academy itself says the old fire's return means the old order burns, and Sera never agreed to be anyone's revolution.
