Haunted

Haunted

Passing through the dark street surrounded by the forest on either side, she finds a girl hardly around six years in a pink frock standing in the middle of the road. Amara stamps her leg on the break but the car's breaks stop functioning. It moves in a record speed with the meter reaching the highest mileage. A dreadful squeak passes out of Amara's throat as the car reaches the little girl but before it touches her the girl transfers to a mist mixing with air.

Still coming along nicely. The Archie plot has hot a good point. I feel there is more to come with Rain in the story and I like that. It is good to acknowledge the news spread of his accomplishments beating down Archie, but I would shorten the side conversations of the random people.

I'm honestly surprised that this story doesn't have more views and reviews. It's well-written, moves at a relaxing pace and the author did an amazing job with the descriptions. The characters has great depth, personalities that stand out. It is also clean and well-edited.

Dawn of the Gods

Dawn of the Gods

They were a horrifying sight to behold. "Hundred-year-old Corpse Puppets!" "Run!" Xiao Chen didn't even stop to think before he sprang out of the underbrush. These Corpse Puppets, with malicious grudges accumulated over hundreds of years, couldn't be compared to those Walking Corpses that wouldn't decay. Both of them were still in the Nascent Soul Realm. It was impossible for them to handle so many hundred-year-old Corpse Puppets. "Clang!"

Miles responded. “Well, my friends and I smoked a bowl of that X-Static Shisha, and we downed five shots of tequila each, then we headed to the dance floor. Shortly after that, so creepy ass dude came up behind me grinding his erection into me and started trying to get me to go home with him.” I paused at the pure hatred on Miles’s face, his eyes reflecting what looked like burning embers, but that couldn’t be possible. His eyes were an emerald amber hazel color. “Uhhh…” I stumbled, trying to recall where I had been in my recollection before his look distracted me. “I pushed the creep away from me, and when I did….” I let my voice trail off, not wanting to give life to my imagination. “And w

The Final Reconciliation

The Final Reconciliation

And with that, she climbed to her feet and patted me on the head like the dimwitted child I was. “Carcosa is calling, Aidan. I hope you’re ready. What you’ve seen thus far is only a glimpse of its glory. I can’t wait to show you the rest.” I wasn’t ready then. I’m not now, and I never will be. There’s a cold fear buried deep within me that what I’ve seen is what awaits me after my life is over. That’s what I fear most about my impending mortality, Miles. In my worst nightmares, I’m one of those things worshiping at the golden altar of Carcosa. Worshiping not a king known as Hastur, but a queen who calls herself Camilla.

Chasing The billionaire's Shadow

Fast. The tunnel sloped down, the walls damp and crumbling. My breath echoed around me, shallow and quick. Behind us, distant thuds. The basement door was under attack. “How far does it go?” I asked, voice shaky. “Half a mile,” Liam said. “We have to keep—” A blast shook the tunnel. The sound of concrete splintering. “They’re inside!” Scarlett snapped. We ran. Liam grabbed my hand, urging me forward. “Faster!”

20 wild encounters

The bed slammed once, twice, and then a heavy silence fell over the house. Lena came right then. She shuddered, her body writhing against her own hand as a wave of heat crashed over her. She buried her face in the pillow to stifle her cries, her eyes wet and her heart racing at a terrifying speed. When the pulsing finally slowed, the silence that followed felt louder than any music.

“And I don’t want to scare you.” Fallon scoffed. “Baby, I already flirted with thin air on a public road. The scare already happened.” Elara exhaled, slow and shakily. “You know the current book I am writing, right?.” “I know you disappear into your laptop like it’s another dimension,” Fallon replied. “Yes.” “I created characters,” Elara said. “Too vividly. Too much. And one of them, Marek, he… crosses boundaries.” Fallon’s smile faded. “I know Marek. We all know Marek. The universe knows Marek. You made it so goodamn obvious, but crosses what kind of boundaries?”

It was crisp, detailed, and utterly terrifying. Below the image, a message blinked, the characters appearing one by one as if typed by a ghost: “The glass is thinner than you think, Mara. Elias is a dead man walking, and he’s taking you into the grave with him. You have twenty-four hours. Leave him, or you will be the next thing he buries.”
