Sophia smiled kindly at Lily, the girl with glasses looked shy judging from her gestures. Lily tended to be a stiff and introverted girl. The girl returned Sophia's smile awkwardly, only briefly because after that Lily focused on reading the thick book in her hand. Sophia placed her bag next to Lily's chair, then tried to greet Lily. “Hi, my name is Sophia Rosetta.” Sophia extended her hand. Lily did not respond immediately, the girl stared at Sophia's palm for a moment, then looked at Sophia's face for a moment.

She walked back carrying a book like hers – with a make-shift false cover. She threw it on the table.

He gently raised his hand towards my face, just as the doorbell rang loudly, interrupting the moment. "Who's there?" he asked, his tone now tinged with anger. I couldn't help but wonder what had caused the sudden shift in his mood. "Your food is here," he quickly responded, rushing towards the door to retrieve our meals. Some minutes later, Ryan entered the room carrying my meal, followed closely by Jessica who rushed in. "Where's that person!" Jessica exclaimed, dropping her bag on the chair. "Wow," Jessica commented, licking her lips. Food was the one thing that could instantly captivate her attention; she had an intense love for it, she's even willing to eat from an enemy's plate.

Madeline asked, “Ellie, are you taken?” Madeline was the youngest among the children. Besides her, the others were already in university, just in different years. Ellie shook her head. “I don’t like men.” That was a bombshell. Ellie had a soft and cute face, yet she had been trained in a military-style school since childhood.

One thing amazing about this room was; that it was quiet and peaceful. “You said this for the millionth time. And it's Miss Madeline not Maddie.” She argued with a fake hint of anger on her face. “Yeah yeah Miss Waters, whatever.” I chuckled and fluttered my eyes close. Madeline Waters was a doctor, who was practicing her house-job for part time. She was my mothers closest friend and one of my best acquaintances or friend, you could say. She was the sweetest out of all the people I knew and basically she knew what I had gone through, that to only a bit of it.

But I was still curious about what made Madeline special. Was it her looks or her attitude? She was close to his friends too, so how could he accept her but not forgive me after I made one mistake? I entered the room where Madeline's bag lay open and immediately began searching through it. I found the small empty bottles she had been using, the ones she poured into patients’ eyes to wake them. It made me wonder how she prepared it. If I could duplicate it, would I finally be seen as worthy of respect? Was it her intelligence that held Elgin and Graham so tightly?
