“If you still want to. I meant what I said last night. We can set rules, make it clear what this is and what it isn’t.” Ariana stared at her coffee for a long moment. Her fingers tightened around the cup. “Okay, rules. Let’s hear them.” I rubbed the back of my neck, feeling the heat there. “Three months max. Public only. We show up together at games, maybe a couple campus events. Take a few pictures and act like we’re together when people are watching. But private stuff stays private. No late nights, no hanging out alone, nothing that blurs the lines.”

"Brother, you were the one who signed the appeal with me. Now you are playing the devoted mate?" He laughed for a while, then relaxed. "I see. The trial period is almost over. You are being nice to her so she will agree to the separation. That is the plan, right? If we had not discussed it, I might have believed you." The trial period. My chest tightened. Mel, who the hell kisses without tongue?” I folded my arms and stared at him, unamused. “Keep going.” He read through the rest, his scowl deepening with every line. No sex, no sleeping over, maximum two events per month, no personal conversations, no good morning texts, no flirting.

Then, he walked towards the entrance but stopped after walking two steps. He did not turn back and said with a dull tone: “Before you came, you should have heard of my rules. Do you know what to do?” She replied to him in a gentle voice, “I know.” Daniel kept his women for only three months. During this period, they had to be at his beck and call and they were not allowed to find him in his company or make a ruckus there.
