Just after midnight we stopped back at the clubhouse and most of the members had either passed out or gone to the back rooms. At 2 AM I opened the door of my room quietly and listened. There were no sounds in the clubhouse and I made my way to the meeting room and opened the safe. I had seen Albert Clark, the Treasurer, punch in the combination a few times.
