In the Wake of Truth

In the Wake of Truth

Like the mansion had secrets it wasn’t ready to reveal. I pressed my hand over my stomach. “You okay in there?” I murmured to the life beneath my skin. The baby didn’t kick, but I liked to believe it was listening. Then I did something strange. I walked over to the wall where Nathan kept his collection of rare clocks—old, beautiful pieces with winding keys and secrets buried in their gears. I didn’t know why I was drawn there. I’d passed them a thousand times, but today, I reached out and turned one slightly to the left.

A Wife For Him (Hearts Under Contract)

A Wife For Him (Hearts Under Contract)

The digital clock on the corner of the polished glass enclosure clicked to 12:00 PM. Right on cue, the sleek black intercom on Irene’s desk crackled to life. Daniel’s voice drifted through the small speaker, carrying that same intolerable, slow cadence that made her jaw clench automatically.

This is such an interesting book, and the characters are really good. Jane is that one friend anybody should have, and then Elara who was called barren was finally going to be having her baby. It's a pity her husband had to cheat on her with her step sister. Overall the story is really good.

Honestly I love that she had a friend like Jane, I love her personality. I love how I could feel every emotion you tried to put into words and everything played like a movie in my thoughts. This is such a good read. Kudos dear author...️

Rewinding My Reaper Boyfriend

Rewinding My Reaper Boyfriend

It was the clock on the nightstand. But it wasn't moving forward. The second hand was twitching. Vibrating. Struggling to move past the second. And then, it stopped. Silence. Elion held his breath. And then, with a loud click, the hand moved. Backward. One second. And then forward again. Elion stared at the clock. "Seven," he whispered. And he knew, with a terrible certainty, that the countdown had begun.

The Queen's Search for Love

The Queen's Search for Love

Alexander uttered as he accelerated the car’s speed. **** Inside the darkroom, filled with but only the sound of the ticking wall clock, ”*Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock!”, when the long and shorthand of the clock struck at exactly seven-thirty, Jingfei opened her eyes and shut them closed again when she felt a pang of pain in her head. She waited for the pain to disappear before slowly sitting down on her bed. “This body clock is scaring me!” She mumbled while staring at a chair.

Bleeding Rose

Bleeding Rose

She couldn't even bring herself to break the annoying alarm clock as this one was a customized one. The particular clock had a voice which always started with a sweet voice,"wakie wakie baby.... Rise and shine my queen..." But that was not the only reason, the reason we're never the words...nope... not at all... The reason was the voice... It belonged to Rudra... She still finds it a mystery to solve that how her friend caught a hold of Rudra's voice that too such sweet one... Groaning, she picked up her alarm clock on her nightstand, Sakshi looked at the time and said,

You've Talked a Lot

You've Talked a Lot

I saw Yzack's name on my screen. "Got you this time." After I read his text message, I shifted my gaze at him and slightly nodded my head in acknowledgment. As I look at him, I realized how grateful I was that he was the one that mom was telling me about. I admired how he could handle things so cool. "You guys should talk when you will have your meeting again, I mean, you are not able to talk more casual because of the surrounding elders." She has a sense of humor. Their gazes were now on us, I awkwardly smiled.

Blackwater Val

“I can get you something, son. Tylenol, or we have Advil?” Throwing bricks into the Grand Canyon, he couldn’t help thinking with a trace of humor. The moon phase grandfather clock was striking six, and Richard took this as his cue to stand up. “That’s okay, don’t worry about it,” he said with a dismissive wave. “We’re both pretty beat, so we should probably—”

SECRET OBSESSION

SECRET OBSESSION

Dana opened the door of the clock, her jacket sliding up to reveal a tattoo along her lower back. "I, um..." Where had that clock come from? He couldn't concentrate, staring at Dana's exposed ass. "I'll be right back." He ran into the kitchen. Tink was busy staring at his laptop computer, which she had unlocked again. "Don't touch anything on there," he told her, setting the pizza down on the table. Grabbing his wallet, he walked back out to the main room to find Dana giving the pendulum inside the clock a push. The entryway filled with the soft sounds of moving gears. The old clock's second hand started moving around the face of the clock. Dana's face lit up in excitement. "That is so cool!

TAMING THE MAFIA QUEEN

TAMING THE MAFIA QUEEN

I let out a gasp as my eyes fell on the wall clock, it was 8: 30 am already. I have worked with Derrick and one of the mistakes he would never tolerate is keeping him waiting or coming late to his meetings. He had once shot his business partner in the heart for keeping him waiting during one of their business meetings at his house. "Gully" I yelled. "Why didn't you wake me up? Aren't you supposed to always inform me one hour before any of my appointments, so that I can prepare ahead?" Gully is mini robot which acts as my alarm. I got it because I needed something that would remind me of my appointments and missions so that I don't miss any of them. Gully has the shape of a clock, so no one c

Frequently Asked Questions

The main character in 'The Clocks' is Colin Lamb, a young marine biologist who stumbles upon a murder mystery while visiting his father in Crowdean. What I love about Colin is how he’s not your typical detective—he’s an outsider with a scientific mind, which gives the story a fresh angle. Agatha Christie often plays with unconventional protagonists, and Colin’s curiosity drives the plot forward in a way that feels organic.

His interactions with the local police and the eccentric witnesses are classic Christie—full of wit and subtle clues. The way Colin pieces together the puzzle, despite not being a professional sleuth, makes him incredibly relatable. It’s one of those stories where the amateur’s perspective adds layers to the mystery, and you can’t help but root for him as he navigates red herrings and hidden motives.
