The sun was barely up when Evelyn received a message on her burner phone—a number that only a few trusted people knew. The text was brief and to the point: *Meet me at the old cathedral. Midnight. Come alone.* Evelyn’s heart pounded as she read the message. Kade didn’t waste time. The old cathedral was a relic from a forgotten era, long abandoned and shrouded in urban legend. I felt defeated. Two men appear around the corner. One probably about 5'7", bright green eyes, dirty shaggy blonde hair and looked like he hadn't showered the same amount of time I've been trapped in this shit box. Gross, I then thought of how badly I needed a shower. What it would feel like tk have a nice stream of hot water washing over me.
