“They started a war they couldn’t finish.” Serai’s lips pressed tight. “And now you think you can finish it.” Cain didn’t deny it. Avi finally spoke, her voice controlled. “Why come in groups of seven?” Serai’s gaze flicked to her. “Because seven is the old binding number. Seven is the number of threads a Circle ties to a Keeper.” Chance’s eyes narrowed. “So you’re trying to bind her?” Serai’s head snapped up. “No!” But it came too fast, too reflexive.

he begins to explain. "Now occasionally, when a person dies, instead of going to heaven or hell as you know it by, sometimes a Greek God will mark you and gift you. In return, you will be reborn as an immortal angel with the gift they gave you. It rarely happens, but when it does, it is one gift from one God. That's the rules that Zeus created. So, how you managed to have THREE Gods is beyond me, and by the looks of this mark, you were given MULTIPLE from each." he finishes, and too overwhelmed to process it all, I faint.

“Hello, can I speak to Freedom, please?” “What’s the first fact?” asked a man at the other end. “It is a preonic and an abundant number. Its prime factorization of two-three-seven makes it the second sphenic number.” “. . . the second.” “The angle rounded to whole degrees for which a rainbow appears.” “. . . the third.” “It’s an English pop/rock music band.” “. . . and what’s the answer?” “forty-two,” JC concluded. “Ok. Is this Mr. Martin?”

Michael answered Tharollin with clenched teeth. "I hope so Micheal because I have so many ways to tell you why I and Avonmora are made for each other." Tharollin said and turned to face the angel who spoke. "Jack, Seth, John, Mark, Liam, Noah William, James, Oliver, Benjamin, Elijah, Lucas. If you really love your life you better go back to whoever that sent you in one piece." Tharollin said calling out each of the twelve Angels names using his head to point out the one he calls out his name. Michael was speechless.

"Really?" Her smile widened. "Ten is a magical number, sweetie. It's a symbol of something extraordinary. If you call for help that way, your guardian angel will always find you." --- Back to the Present I shut my eyes tight, her words echoing in my mind like a lullaby I'd forgotten years ago. "One… two… three… four… five…" I whispered, my voice barely audible in the stillness. The night dragged on, silent and interminable. "Six… seven… eight…"

“But some fates can be fixed, you know….” Phillip looked at the Angel more focused. "I'm here to do my job as an angel, as I promised you. Do you remember, son?” The youth nodded faintly, the muscles of his lips tugging slightly as image after image began to dance through his head. “Close your eyes and think about a person and what their behavior is in the world. The good, the bad, the regret. Think about what you would expect from that person if he or she had a second chance at life. Then collect all the shadows in one name, then say the name out loud. You understand?"

I winked at my angel. "You're going to kill him for ruining your shirt!" She protested from the ground, her lips lifting into a pout. "When did she relish in the death of others?" I asked Ares, concerned; Abigail had healed a man she hardly knew yesterday and bargained away a part of her soul to those angels to save that stranger's life! Yet now, bathed in the blood that fell from his lips like a waterfall, she seemed to hunger for it. "Stop thinking! Kill it!" Ares roared, wrath coursing through my veins, "Take care of him so we can get back to the task in hand; mating her and filling her womb with pups."

****************************** “You know what has been going on for the past few months and how difficult it has been for either of your siblings to damage the love chain between Hannah and Garin. “Her soul currently occupies the vessel on Earth and I need you to pull her out and send her back to Harlem. Your sister, Fawn was too sentimental to carry it out but I’m certain that you won’t be the same. This is of the utmost importance and I need to know that you’ll be able to carry this out without failure,” God said to another one of his angels. “Of course, Father. I will never disappoint you,” The angel replied, her face directed to the floor.

Alexander said, as if what I'd said was the stupidest thing ever. "How will I contact you?" I asked. "Luckily," Alexander grinned, pausing to reach back into his pocket, "I conveniently have my number and Angel's number on a professional card. Here." Alexander handed me the card and I tucked it into a pocket of the cover up. "Thanks, but so many things feel so wrong," I muttered, mostly to myself. "So how many of our wolves will you need? The troop of enemy wolves in my dream was very large, so I would say around thirty to forty of ours," Angel suggested, ignoring my remark.
