Light after dark. Truth after illusion. Healing after corruption.” I think of the nine wolves, hollow-eyed and broken, then rising with new breaths. I think of the hunters fleeing. I think of the surge that nearly tore me apart.

The door to the bathroom suddenly burst open, and Casper and I stared at each other. I realized it wasn't Casper standing there, but his wolf, Ray. His eyes were clouded with desire and desire, and he seemed almost feral in his predatory gaze. I could sense the lust and possessiveness radiating from him, and I felt a stirring of arousal within me. Hyna fought for control, struggling to meet her mate. I sever your link with your previous pack, Dark Moon.” As soon as Alpha Wyatt says Dark Moon, I feel something give way inside my head and I no longer can hear any of the voices from my previous pack. However, something else snaps tight in its place and my mind is suddenly filled with unfamiliar voices. The chaos in my head is interrupted as Rose adds, “I, Rose Tanapol, High Elder of Sun Moon Pack, remove my previous block of my powers and grant my mate, Porsche Tanapol, the abilities of the pack and of the High Elder’s family.”
