Wait for the poison to finish what they couldn’t.
“Hold on.” My voice was rough, barely more than a breath. I shifted my grip on him, blood dripping from my arm, from everywhere. “I’m getting us out. Now.”
“Ronan, you’re not…”
“I said hold on!”
I dug deep, deeper than I thought I had left. Pain ripped through me as I forced my hands into the fabric of the world itself, clawing at it like a beast tearing through chains. My veins burned, blood seeping from my skin as if the poison itself was trying to escape. The air screamed, space shuddered, and with one final, bone-splitting roar I wrenched it open.
