Both the pre-ruin and the post-ruin, I wasn't ready for any of it. My movements came to a halt when my gaze flitted across the street and landed on the poster of the new Fantasy series I had been waiting on; All the Beautiful Things. It was a trilogy. All the beautiful things are red, All the beautiful things are gold, and All the beautiful things are black. It was more like Romantasy actually. A wide grin crept up my face and I looked sideways, before slipping towards the bookstore even though I knew there was no car in sight. Volxe bookstore.

Obviously the library. Frost wandered around the library. Trying to find a useful book to read. "World of Mages and Supernaturals. This one." "Royal Family of Esperanza Kingdom." Frost brought the two books she has found towards the brown couch. She sat down and started reading the first book she found.

The aroma of aged parchment filled the air as I meandered through the maze of towering bookshelves. In this sanctuary of knowledge, I hoped to find a way to divert my attention, to focus solely on my duty rather than the princess who occupied my every waking thought. Pulling a book from the shelf, I settled into a worn leather armchair, its comfort embracing me like a familiar friend. My eyes scanned the pages, absorbing the words that transported me to distant lands and unfamiliar worlds. However, even within the realms of fantasy, the allure of the princess remained, casting its spell over my weary mind.

She tilted her head while questioning. "Oh, we have books and plenty of stories about mythical creatures, I think most, if not all of it exist here." Alexis nodded as she spoke, she was fairly confident her brain conjured up all these creatures to distract her from her impending death. As depressing as it was, Alexis hadn't felt the slight bit affected by the thought because she was thoroughly distracted. "Like history books?" The woman asked looking slightly suspicious of Alexis. Though Alexis noticed she thought nothing of it. "No, no fictional books. Like romances and stuff." She knew the word fantasy probably didn't exist here. "Enough of that anyway. Your my mana tutor, right?" Her voic

To distract myself I grabbed a stack of books i had gotten from Zoya. I settled on the bed, curling up with the first book. It was a fantasy novel about a brave healer and her quest to save a cursed kingdom. I couldn’t help but smile at the irony but as I turned the pages, I found myself getting invested. The healer’s struggles, her triumphs and her quiet strength it all resonated with me. Just as the story began to pull me in, a knock sounded at the door. Before I could respond, it opened and my three mates walked in. I let out a quick breath because what in beautiful world are these creatures from? I’m always blown by their presence.

The book held secrets beyond the understanding of ordinary men, secrets reserved only for those born with magic. Mathias rolled off his bed and knelt down, searching beneath it. His hand clasped around the Old Book, the weight of its ancient knowledge giving him a sense of purpose and responsibility. He took it and carefully placed it on top of his bed, treating it with reverence. Then, he started flipping through the pages of the book, each turn revealing ancient spells and captivating stories. But as he delved deeper, Mathias couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment. Everything he read seemed accessible to anyone, even though they might lack the ability to wield the magic within.

We all give her our full intention as she stands in front of the fire with the large, old, dusty book open in her hands. “So, this speaks of having to trap the Jinn in a vessel of magical importance. So a supernatural being or artifact. The Jinn will offer you the three wishes, but you must be careful as they will never be as you wish. The Jinn is a sneaky, dark entity that will always seek chaos while pretending to offer you what you mostly desire.” She looks up from the book at us. “What does it mean?” Emerald asks as she sits with a little frown on her face. Lil stands and goes to her daughter taking the book, she reads over the page pondering on the information.
