Keeping the balance, understanding emotions, and finding out what is the proper thing to do and what is not." His gaze slowly fell to my chest. "I grew up restrained by moral values I couldn't fully comprehend." Then his eyes returned to my face, and his mouth stretched into a grim smile. "It's called sociopathy, or so I heard."
I moved back, almost leaning against the wall. My heart thundered, but I knew I couldn't let him see my fear. I curled my hands into balls. "You didn't answer my question. What do you want from me?"
