"This one is in a great neighborhood, has a top-rated school nearby, and is only a 15-minute commute to the office." We set up a viewing for that evening. As we pulled up to the house, I felt a flicker of hope. The neighborhood was quiet and tree-lined, with children playing in their yards and families strolling down the sidewalks. The house itself was charming, with a small garden and a welcoming front porch. Inside, it was spacious and well-maintained. The bedrooms were large enough for the kids to have their own space, and the kitchen was perfect for family meals. I could already envision us settling in, making this place our home.

It was the only explanation. She looked around and saw that the houses in this neighborhood almost all looked like this, it was an extremely poor neighborhood, even a ghetto looked better. I couldn't understand why my friend said the man looked familiar, but then I realized it was Joe, my neighbor and Lesley's husband.
