Hayden looked away for a moment and could only recall the time Lady Nixie, Queen Nivei's lady-in-waiting, approached him and asked if he could meet with Queen Nivei. He remembered Lady Nixie giving him a file with Leath Mayfair's information. It had everything from her birthday, favourite colour, her first day out of Silvenia, but it didn't say that Leath was not allowed to go back to Silvenia. Hayden thought that it was a simple task to make a rebelling kid go back but now is a different story.

The knight saw him, with a sarcastic look on his face, he went after the girl. The sorcerer stood there, and then went on the opposite side. He was disappointed by the quality of the knights the king took into his service.

“Think positive, Ash. You could stumble upon a guy like that, you know.” “And you have to remember, I never go for the rich and famous,” I said. It was my thing since Kevin Moore. In my version of a fairytale romance, it’s the brave, honorable knight who took home the princess, not the spineless prince charming. The rich kids I went to school with were all bullies, with nothing to show for themselves, except for the flashy gadgets and cars that their parents gave them. I swore off guys like Kevin. He taught me not to hope that I would be enough to hold his heart or attention forever.

I said with a serious tone that the nurse can't help but sigh. "Alright, that would be fine. The ointment is here on the cabinet." She said pointing at the cabinet above the sink. I let him sit on a chair and grabbed the ointment, "hey Martin, what happened to you?" Chase, one of the basketball players asked Xander and he shrugged. "Just saved a princess from falling." I rolled my eyes at that, "cool bro, never pegged you as a prince charming. So who's that princess of yours? Allison?"

For the first time, I felt like the intruder, a ridiculous, unnecessary clown. Sienna turned to me and urged, “Zach, hurry up.” Lance, now completely enraged, lunged at me with the knife, and screamed, “This is all your fault! Sienna belongs to me!” I instinctively raised my hand to block. The blade sliced through my palm. Warm blood gushed out instantly, staining my white suit crimson. Lance froze for a moment, stunned by what he had done, and his legs gave way. He tumbled down a few steps.

I could hear him whispering these same words into my hair years ago.

The only person that came to mind was. “Kael.” I gasped. The boy in the dirt. The King who had kept my handkerchief for twelve years. I said slowly, and he seemed to get to him. He gestured to me to bring forth the ring and I stood up, taking the ring and placing it on his palm. He looked at the ring critically as I went back to my seat, smiling as my plan to eliminate Eleanor was taking a good course. “This is supposed to guide me to her?” He asked as he looked puzzled, looking at the ring in his hands. “Yes! My lord, as small as it is. It is very effective and does it works perfectly.” I said, smiling at the king. He nodded as if he had just understood something about the ring.

Chapter One Hundred And Sixty One Amidst a moonlit garden, the Knight meticulously arranged the engagement fairytale, each detail woven into a dreamy tapestry of romance. The soft glow of lanterns illuminated the scene as he nervously awaited Annabelle's arrival. Roses adorned every corner, and the air was filled with anticipation.
