Before I overthink and talk myself out of it, I dial Nadia and Katya into a conference call. “Girls,” I chirp. Nadia groans immediately. “Why do you have this much energy at night?” Katya huffs. “She didn’t sound like this when I left her.” I ignore both of them. “Do you feel like dancing tonight?” “Yes,” Nadia says instantly. “Absolutely not,” Katya says at the same time. She tugged so hard that he had to lean down toward her. “Anywhere! I don’t have any worth tomorrow anyway!” She would treat this night as her bachelorette party.
