I stood silently crying in front of the single stall restroom, the door was locked and there were no windows. For the past hour I had been trying to convince myself that Adam really didn’t mean what he’d said in a bad way, I mean maybe I was being too loud and obnoxious. He most likely meant to save me from further humiliation on my birthday. With a sad smile I gazed on at my hunched over reflection, my teary eyes barely able to make out the black streaks running down my face but not blurry enough to cover up how red my cheeks were.

“It's all my fault. Everything that happened to you is my fault; I should be the one dead. I'll never be happy, I promise to never be happy.” Tears kept streaming down my face, a quiet, soundless waterfall of sorrow. My body shook slightly, but my mouth was clamped shut, stifling any audible sobs. I cried silently, hiding my pain from the world, as if afraid to let others see the depth of my emotions. Each tear that fell was a testament to the weight I carried, a physical manifestation of the grief, hurt, or frustration that had become too much to bear. My eyes, red-rimmed and puffy, were the only giveaway, a window to the storm raging within.

Haya's pov I bit my tongue, trying to hold the tears that threatened to leave my eyes and that's when I can't hold them back. first, one small crystal bead escaped from my right eye, I can feel the warmth sliding down my cheeks and rolling off my chin, then another and another until my eyes flooded with them, coming like a rainfall. My brother walked towards me that's when I burst out into tears because I couldn't take it any more, I sobbed into his chest clutching his jacket and he held me in silence.

She let out a shaky breath, pressing her palm against the cool glass, watching his silhouette fade into the darkness. She pulled the blanket tighter around her shoulders, her heart heavy with the knowledge that something precious was slipping through her fingers, and she didn’t know how to stop it.

I said. "Good." Liora reached into her coat pocket and pulled out a small glass vial. Empty. "One more thing. I lied about the f*e. There's a material component." She held up the vial. "One tear. From each of you. Freely given, after the deal is struck. Not grief tears. Not pain tears. The kind that come when you've been holding something for a very long time and you finally put it down." She set the vial on the bedside table and stepped back.

Biding his time. “I miss you guys,” she muttered quietly to herself as she crossed her legs and felt the soft green grass beneath her thighs. “Life just isn’t the same without you.” A lone tear broke loose and freely trickled down her cheek. She didn’t make to wipe it away because she knew that there were many more to come. So many more that she’d kept locked up inside.

He really had left her. A single tear rolled down her cheek. She could feel the pieces falling into place...one by one...until the truth stood bare in front of her.
