My eyes misted up as I touched the tattoos on his athletic chest. His touch grew slower, almost cautious. His lips moved gently along my neck, sending me a warm rush. Each peck from him was so intense, making my breathing heavier, clearly audible in our quiet room, accompanied only by the sound of my racing heart. My hands moved uncontrollably, exploring the surface of his hard, muscular chest. My fingers traced the contours of the tattoos etched into his skin. The tattoo was so familiar to me that I could touch it without even opening my eyes.

Damien's POV I learned early that the things you love most are the things you're most likely to lose. I really really don't want to lose Heaven. The bedroom is quiet except for the soft patter of rain against the window and the low hum of the heater kicking on downstairs. Heaven lies on her side, facing away from me, her arms curled loosely against her chest. The bedside lamp casts a warm gold pool across her shoulder, catching the faint freckles that dust her collarbone like scattered stars.

“How much do you know?! Just spit it out already.” As Kathleen groaned, Tomoya rose, walked towards the bookshelf behind him and took a book in a size of an encyclopedia, bound in silk darkened with times of handling. He sat back down and twisted the darkly patented cover to a full, wide spread. “That’s her penmanship!” Kathleen scowled, attempting to snatch the book from him when he pulled it away in an even faster pace. “It’s very old, for hell’s sake! You could have torn it into two.”

He explained patiently. "Now, let me show you, how all of this started," he said and raised his hands, his palm open wide as if he's waiting for something to come to him. And before I knew it, a book came flying towards him. He let the book reside on the table as well, opposite the prophecy book I was holding. He stared at me for a while before he gave me a sad smile. "Welcome to your parent's life story, Princess," he said before a blinding bright lights hovered us after he opened the book.

Her eyes widened when she felt his touch down there. "What are you..." She was going to ask in shock but couldn't complete her sentence. "Shhh." He cut her off. "Just feel it, baby." This is heaven! "Uh? Are you okay? Don't you like the room?" I looked at Zadkiro, I didn't know he was watching my reaction and misunderstood it. I immediately smiled. "No, I love it. It's so beautiful actually. Are you sure I can stay here?" I asked. He smiled at me genuinely. The smile that never failed to reassure me every time we were talking. "Of course, from now on, please don't be shy to touch things around the house. I am permitting you to live here like it's your own. Just tell me what you need."

His touch was cold and refreshing on her hot skin, like a cold glass of water after being in the Sahara desert for a year. 'Was it hot in here?'
