I was directed to the shelf that contained books on mystical beings. I picked the first book I could lay my hands on and opened it to the chapter where vampires were discussed. "I guess you love fairy tales," I turned to see a young man, dressed in a black suit. His hands were in his pocket as he was grinning widely at me. I cocked my eyebrow. "Vampires aren't necessarily classified as fairy tales" I corrected him. "You could say so. I mean they're different, strange, and strong. They ain't human"

I almost wasn't able to stop myself but I knew I had to for her own sake. Vampires can see other people's emotions but they cannot feel them. We are naturally emotionless creatures that don't feel things. That's why vampires are one of the most dangerous creatures you could meet because they're completely merciless. The only emotion they're able to feel is lust. I have a few that I can feel specifically because I'm cursed to be the protector but others couldn't. For example the hurt I was able to feel when Maya assumed I was the one who injured her. I was her protector and she should've known that I would never hurt her in any way. Eleanor's P.O.V I smiled as I held the newspaper in my hand and looked at the large title written in bold on the front page. 'YET ANOTHER KNIFE VICTIM' It was connected to a person's lifeless body. No, it wasn't a person. It was a vampire. A fucking bloodthirsty monster. He laid there lifeless on the floor with a body so unrecognisable that it would make people shudder at the murderer's viciousness. I'm curious who could be so ruthless.

Something she could only imagine existed in books and movies. A pair of red eyes and two long fangs that stuck out of the mouth as though they were always meant to be there. Except there was no blood dripping from his mouth as always described in books. Yet, she was still scared senseless at the sight of a living, vampire right in front of her eyes. He moved closer to her again but this time, she was prepared and understood what he was. She lunged on her feet in fright and prepared to flee. But she had barely moved two steps when that figure appeared in front of her again.

"Tell me, Adrian, what's your story? How did you become a vampire?" He paused for a moment, contemplating his response. "The same way you became a werewolf." I leaned in even closer, my voice filled with intrigue. "I was born that way and I believe you were too but I want to know everything. The battles you've fought, the challenges you've faced, how life as vampire is. It's all so mysterious." He smirked, "There's nothing really mysterious about what I am." "Yet I find everything you do so fascinating."

He enlightened her. "Breed? There are breeds? Aren't you all the same?" Adrianna was dumbfounded to know that vampires have different breeds. He got up and went to grab a book from his shelves, and hand a heavy book to Adrianna. "This will help you because I am not good at explaining things and facts." Said Alaric. Her palms touched the cover of the book which looked antique and royal. She read the title 'Vamoose', called Vampire in latin. "You didn't tell me you have kids." Alaric asked her.

She believed sometimes knowledge and curiosity would put someone's life at risk and she didn't want to drag anyone along with her crazy obsession about supernatural beings. With her secret collection, she knew that the prominent kind residing with humans were vampires. They were categorized in three categories. Pureblooded were those who were born as vampires with parents who were both vampires, they were the strongest. Turned vampires, humans who went through transition. And half-vampires, those who were fruits of the union of vampires and humans.

A gasp immediately escaped her lips "The men slaves are used as guards,only those who will swear their loyalty.But those who would not,would be killed." Jenna continued to explain "The ladies or girls are either used as sex slave or blood machine" "Blood machine?" Nina repeated Jenna nodded "What I mean is..the Vampires draws blood from them.If they're lucky and it's just a little amount,the lady might just become a vampire" Another fierce gasp escaped Nina's lips. "If they're unlucky and it's a huge amount," Jenna paused "She might die"
