I took Luca upstairs, still nursing his throat, to get Theodore. He was down for a nap, but when he opened his eyes to his father, he was as lively as ever.
“How was Aruba?” I asked, as he cuddled Theodore, “You’re looking very tan.”
“Amazing. I bought you a souvenir,” he said, holding Theo in one hand as he delved into his pocket.
Wrapped in a piece of tissue paper was a small miniature Eiffel tower statue.
