Dean gently took Aria away from my hands. "How is my beautiful princess doing?" he asked. All I could do was laugh, seeing the way he played with Aria as if she had already grown up. "You know she's always happy that you are her father." I stood up, walked over to Dean, and placed my hands on Aria, who kept laughing at Dean, now her father. "I don't know if I can do this Dean, am scared that I might not be the one the people wish to become your Luna tonight, am just scared and I just don't know why."

He did not know what the results would be, but at the very least, he dared to step up. Even if he would be humiliated by White Marsh Continent, it was still better than not doing anything at all. After Rudy voiced the question, Fane merely frowned and did not reply. Rudy saw that Fane was not answering, so Rudy turned to look at Aaron. The moment he looked over, he saw Aaron suddenly stand up. Aaron let out a slight cough as he tidied himself up, walking right toward the center. The inner city was large enough that they did not need to squeeze. There was a lot of space to move around. Aaron took big strides all the way toward the front of the Heaven Array.

"Hi, how are you doing?" Aaron approached the table and spoke directly to Abigail's date. He stretched out his hand to give that man a handshake. The man stood up and reached out to Aaron's hand immediately, having a hunch that Aaron was a big shot by the way he dressed. "I'm great," the man answered modestly and smiled faintly at Aaron. "What's your name?" Aaron asked more. "Axel Livon. And you are..." "I'm Aaron. Aaron Castell."

Then he whispered, “Thank you for being my safe space.” “You can fall apart with me,” I said softly, my lips brushing his temple. “I’ll hold you through it. I promise.” He lifted his head again, his eyes teary. “You’re being disgustingly romantic right now.” I smirked, rolling us gently so he was underneath me, my weight carefully balanced on my forearms. “Get used to it. I’ve had four years of repressed romance building up.” Aiden laughed and his hands came up to frame my face, stroking my cheekbones.

I don’t want to come off as a bitch, I just really suck at making friends. “We’ve already been here longer than we normally stay in a single place, so I’m hopeful this is our final destination,” Mavy said cheerfully. The hope in her gaze made me feel like I had to say something. “Fingers crossed you can stay. Auburn is a sweet little town. I don’t have plans on ever leaving,” I said.

Aaron asked. Aaron, my comical best friend, was standing around trying to look all sophisticated with his champagne glass like James Bond, dressed in his black Tux, white shirt, and bow tie. He glanced over his shoulder at a group of giggling girls. He was such a flirt, running a hand through his dark-blond hair, his blue eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief. I rolled my eyes. “No, not yet,” I replied, managing a strained smile. Aaron clapped me on the back. “Don’t worry, man, she’ll be here. I mean, your mate has to be someone from town, right?” he attempted to reassure me, despite the lingering doubt evident in his voice.

He kissed the back of my hand. “Let’s go.” He said. I took my small bad quickly and put my phone, purse, lipstick and powder inside. Aaron walked out and I followed him downstairs. As we walked to his car and got inside, my phone vibrated and I saw a text message from Josh. My eyes widen and I had to keep calm so Aaron won’t be suspicious. “You ready?” “Yeah.” I put my seatbelt and he started his car. The whole ride was about us getting to know each other. Me and Aaron have a 4 years gap difference and he’s the only child in his family. He loves hiking, pizza, watching movies and exercise.

I opened my phone and looked at the notifications. It was Aziel, for the third time maybe, lol. "Goodnight Aaron, see you tomorrow" He messaged. I quickly replied then I went to sleep. I hope that tomorrow comes quickly. To be continued...

“No. It can’t be her. I can’t face her again. Don’t make me go. Please.” “It’s the only way, Aaron. Tara is an expert potioneer. She’ll have just the potion for what I have in mind.” Aaron stiffened. “Tara?” “Yeah. Tara Tomas. That’s her name.” Aaron slumped against the backrest, sighing in relief. “I take it she isn’t your witch?” Aaron narrowed his eyes at Keyah. He didn’t trust the glint of mischief in her eyes. “I don’t have a witch. And no, that isn’t her name.”

Maybe until I fully get to understand him, we might get close. “Trenton is in fourth year, a semi-finalist. Aaron is a finalist.” Lucas provided. I nodded in understanding. We had gotten to the bleachers and taken a seat. Trenton was on his phone, Zach too. Lucas had my arms hooked in his as he explained whatever he thought needed explaining to me about the school and pointed out buildings we could see from our position on the bleachers and gave me information about them. Aaron was being his calm, gentle self. His eyes roaming his surroundings in mild interest.
