I was now an avenging angel without any feeling or remorse. "I'm Abby short for Abalone", I said. I knew it was the perfect icebreaker. It made people curious to know more about my name the nickname Abby my brother used to call sounded harmless even to humans. She was still silent though. I watched her casting a fearful look towards the door. I understood her misery she was worried that she should be punished for disobeying the alpha.

“I mean… yeah, maybe it wasn’t planned, but I was mad. I was so mad at her, Abuela. She kept talking, poking at me like she wanted me to snap. She kept bringing up Kaden, the baby, my mate bond. She made me feel small, like I didn’t belong here.” Abuela watched me with those sharp eyes of hers. She didn’t say anything yet. “And honestly,” I continued, “I don’t like her. I never did. Abby's POV “See who we have here. Abbyyyy!” Freya screamed, rushing toward me. I quickly ended my call with Hayden just before she pulled me into a tight hug. She stepped back and turned me around like a spinning doll. “Goddess, you look freaking different! Seems the ruthless Alpha knows how to take good care of his wife.” I could feel my cheeks heat up. I pressed my palms to my face. Ugh, I was blushing like a teenager.

I raised up my head and looked around the compound. My breath suspended as I caught Abdul's eyes on me. I blushed, looking away. I and Abdul has gotten more closer since the day we kicked up his plan to make Bayo jealous. He was there for me through out the surgery, assuring me I was going to survive it and I did.
