Tasting my Best Friends

Tasting my Best Friends

"You love her more than me?" "No." He shook his head quickly. I shifted, prepared to argue, but he raised a hand. "I love you both the same but Chloe is expecting my baby, and let's face it—Mom would never let us be together." "She did not want Chloe either. But you convinced her." "She'd prefer Chloe over you. She thinks you…” “Say it." A tear blinked down. A piece of me snapped right there. "I don't want to hurt you, Alex." "Say it, Elliot… say it."

In Love With My Best Friend

In Love With My Best Friend

I had to make sure my heart wouldn't break, so I stood taller, arching my back, willing the fear which grasped my heart tightly back down. "Adam, I guess I believe you. But I wish it were easier for me to see that you were truly real. I mean, come on, don't you know that I have been having these weird hallucinations?" I said while shrugging my shoulders, not ready to reveal what was laid upon my heart. Yet, Adam, my best friend from childhood, who's still married for Moon Goddess' sake, had this way about him that helps break down my walls. Which is something I had yearned for, for a long time. And now, being with him, which I know is forbidden, is something I desperately need.

You look like you haven’t slept in years. Aria smirked. Says the girl who spends her nights with her phone under her pillow. Lorena rolled her eyes, but her laugh softened the edge. They were a strange trio, bound together by years of friendship and shared survival. Ava was the heart, Lorena the mirror, and Aria the quiet spine that held them all up. A customer called for a refill, and Aria went to pour another cup, humming under her breath. Her shift was supposed to end at noon, but the afternoon staff had called in sick, so she stayed. She always stayed.

His Favorite Flavor

His Favorite Flavor

He ordered for me and told me he knew just what the specials were here and he seemed so excited to be showing me his favorite place that even if the food hadn’t come out special, I would still have said I loved it. But the food was amazing, Damien told me that of course he knew the chef here and that he would bring me here someday when the chef was free and introduce me to him. We talked about everything that came to mind over glasses of wine and the atmosphere was relaxed and yet unbelievably exciting. Everything with Damien was exciting.

“Uh, hey, Audrey, you said you like music. What kind?” “Hmm, I guess I’m more of a pop person but with an old soul? My ultimate favorites are The Beatles, Phoenix, and other artists whom you may have not heard about. Fun fact: I do love to dance when no one’s watching.” answered Audrey as she laughed. “...No I don't wanna be alone no more. Do you believe in love like I do?...” As we finished our meals, a new song came up, “Be Alone No More.”

My Brother’s Favorite

My Brother’s Favorite

My brother, Graham Hart, was the villainous second male lead in a romance novel. After the female lead, Celeste Rodgers, faked her death, he spent every day thinking of ways to die for her. But before he could follow through, he got a call from my kindergarten teacher, Carly Rocha. "Are you Mila Hart's brother? Please come to the school. She keeps climbing into the aquarium and pretending to be a goldfish. She says she learned it from you. What exactly is going on?" After that, Graham didn't dare try to kill himself anymore. He had to set a good example for me. Then one day, years later, the school called him in because I had been caught dating a boy with bleached hair. As it turned o

BENEATH HER DARKNESS: The Alpha's Little Demon

BENEATH HER DARKNESS: The Alpha's Little Demon

She nodded her head as she pulled away from the hug. I then rested my chin on Lucy’s shoulder, bringing my face so close to theirs. "How about Uncle Adan? Was I replaced as your favorite?" Amara giggled before she cupped my face and pecked my nose. "You’re both my favorites now, but don’t tell Uncle Sebastian and Aunt Jenny, or Uncle Caleb and Aunt Anya, because I told them they’re my favorites." I laughed heartily as Lucy softly pinched her nose. "Then it’s our little secret, but did you know you’re allowed to have as many favorites as you can because, despite being small, our hearts expand to allow more people in them?"

Cassandra M, you are one of the best authors I have come across. All your novels have kept me glued from day 1. Both Part 1 and 2 of this novel got me wanting more and abandoning everything just to keep reading. Wow! it was such a wonderful experience and read. You deserve all the gems and accolades

2/2- I feel Adan's character got lost in the 2nd part and still have questions about Lucy's background. Also the ending was too vague, it's unfinished. But I did enjoy the extra story about Lucien. That guy is hilarious funny. Blade & Althea are interesting too and have good hopes for their book.

His Favorite Daughter

His Favorite Daughter

When I was fifteen, my father brought home the daughter of the man who had once saved his life. He told me, "Stella, Hazel is your sister now. You need to be more understanding with her." From that day on, everything I had became something my father could freely give to Hazel. I cried and asked him if he no longer loved me. But he stroked my head and reassured me, "I am only doing this to repay a debt. Don't worry. I'll leave all my assets and the company to you." It was not until I graduated from college that I happened to overhear Hazel sweet-talking my father. "Dad, I like Julian. Could you get Stella to break off her engagement with him and let me have him? "Besides, Stella didn't

Forbidden Love

Her mother rents this house and hopes she pays the rent every year. A white two-bedroom flat, nothing fancy, not old and they keep it clean and neat. She picked up the key under the welcome carpet and opened the door. Welcomed by the lavender room scent, her mother loves lavender, because it soothes her all the time. She loved it too but preferred to mix it with its citrus scent. Making a good outcome fragrance.

A Simple Favor

A Simple Favor

He kisses the top of my head. We lie there for a while in comfortable silence, with his arm snug around my middle and circling my small bump, and his chin on the top of my head. ‘’I love you, Millie,’’ he murmurs in my ear, and I smile. ‘’I love you too.’’ Asher has easily become my favorite person and these are the moments I cherish the most. Even though there are people who want this to fail, and keep saying our relationship won’t last, I know that it will. There is a strong connection between us.
