“Since you’ve read her older ones,” Adam said with a grin, “I’ll get you her new book.”
My eyes widened. “Oh—no, please, you don’t have to do that,” I said quickly, shaking my head. “I wouldn’t want to inconvenience you. Besides, it’s worth a lot, and there are only two copies in print.”
And one of them’s already with Apollo. I doubted the second one was even in the country.
Adam just grinned proudly. “Don’t worry about that. My son has a copy. I’ll just take it from him.” He chuckled, his grin turning mischievous. “Maybe one day, you two can even meet and talk about the book together.”
