The walk is tense and uncomfortable and I couldn't have been happier when we got to the clearing. It was beautifully decorated with white chairs and fairy lights all over. The make shift stage is still being set up by some of the boys our age. I see Aiden force a smile onto his face as two older pack members approach us. "Good luck tonight, you two. You will be a great King and Queen to our people." Mr. Carson says and I smile at him. "Thank you so much, sir." Aiden says as he shakes Mr. Carson's hand. "So young yet taking on such a big responsibility. Amazing." His wife, Mrs. Carson says and I immediately feel the guilt eating away at me.

"And try to go back to sleep." "Ok. I might dream of my prince again." Mish whispered conspiratorially as if sharing a deep secret. Accept it's no secret at all. She had been telling them of her dreams more often than not. "Your Prince Charming?" Indulging her at the same time helping her settle back on her pillow and tucked her in. Anna and Rie will be taking turns in checking up on her all night. "He told me he is my king," Mish mumbled and yawned. "I'll be a queen."

I was certain that it would be a very different story if Aiden wasn’t King Colts son. The King slams his fist down on to the desk, Aiden ignores him as he gestures for me to follow him. We move through the house, he links his hand with mine. He was squeezing it a little more than usual. He knocks on his mother’s door. “Aiden, you can come in.” His mum calls from the other side of the door. She was sitting in bed with a book. More books sat in a pile on her bedside table. I was confused, she looked fine. The King had made it sound like she was ill.

Michael left his king in his study, still engrossed in everything he could find about his queen. The royal beta grinned at the thought. Our Queen. Finally. At last. After more than 148 years, they finally found their queen luna. It was damn time! The kingdom was growing restless, their king unstable. They couldn't have that. Enemies were everywhere. Aiden turned his head and saw Collin standing at the top of the stairs with an indifferent expression on his face, which angered him more. “I am the king!” he told her with so much conviction like it would change how Collin saw him. “So? You are not a king here, this is the Black Moon pack and I am king here.” He was now face to face with Aiden. He hated the defiance Collin was showing but he calmed himself down because he still needed him. “Very well then, shall we talk now since you are here?” asked Aiden but Collin shook his head. “That won’t do, I am still busy.” Aiden wanted to rip his throat out at that moment and just kill him. However, we'll be honest we do not like that kid Aiden, but we understand that he is your friend and what we asked is unfair of us to ask. But just for our sake and sanity, don't get so close to him. Not only because it's wrong the way he sometimes talks, even if it's harmless, but you all have to worry about the final test coming up in a year." Said, king Kayden

Athena gasps, before asking the one question I would have never in a million years thought she would. “Was her name Aria?”. “Yes, how do you know?”. It’s odd that she knows the princess’ name, even though she knows nothing about the war. “A friend of mine had a book about her which I was allowed to borrow. I thought it was a fictional story at the time though”. My heart hurts for her. She had read a book about her own mother. Because 2 “kings” were too stuck up to change their ways for the sake of their children. Aiden sighs deeply, his eyes closing for a moment before he continues.

Aidan added all of the set of books she mentioned. Laughing, she said, “Are you sure? I haven’t read some of these and we may have different tastes.” “It’s fine. I wouldn’t know where to begin.” One of the books she loved had a dragon as the main character and as she went on and on about how much she loved them, he was forced to keep pretending that he wasn’t jealous about it. Aidan kept a happy expression on, unwilling to spoil the moment. At least now he was already getting her the ones she liked, though she didn’t know it yet. Then he caught a whiff of something … bad.

But the man walked straight to Aiden and threw his arms around the man cheerfully. "Your majesty, please you should not do this. This is no way for a king to act." Aiden reminded. Kaelan's once expressive face got suppressed almost immediately, and I felt a wave of seriousness suddenly overwhelm the atmosphere.
