I Want You Back
We’d made it.
The adventures would start tomorrow—Jason was already planning a hiking trip with the guys, talking about cliffs and waterfalls, while Ava, Nancy, Lindsay, and I had booked a day at a natural spa, all volcanic mud baths and oceanfront massages.
The kids—Stephen, Daniel, and the younger ones—would burn off energy at a supervised adventure park, ziplining and climbing to their hearts’ content. Everything was planned, perfect, ready to unfold. But for now, all I wanted was a soft bed and a few hours of sleep, the promise of tomorrow’s sun waiting to greet us.
