Until exhaustion finally dragged me under. And I drifted off. Then I dreamt. It wasn’t my usual chaotic Reddit-fueled nonsense. This one felt different, sharp, vivid, like I was watching someone else’s memory through a foggy window. I saw the original Elena. Not me. Her. Wine-red hair whipping in the wind, violet eyes fierce and unafraid. Standing in a ruined hall, frost blooming from her fingertips. Across from her was Kael. No. Leka. Eyes completely black, shadows curling off him like rotting smoke, the air thick with decay.

she says softly, her gaze returning to mine. “If you truly make Aeron happy…” she murmurs, “then perhaps I can learn to love you too.” The words should sound comforting. Instead, they make my skin crawl. Then her eyes slowly lower toward my stomach and a strange smile spreads across her lips afterward. “I pray the child is male,” she says. Instinctively, my hand moves protectively over my stomach. Helena notices the movement immediately. “So he may rule Nightbane after Aeron joins his ancestors.” The corridor suddenly feels too silent. For one horrifying second, I hear the sentence differently inside my head.

The walls of the room shattered around me, flying towards the opposite direction. “Who the hell are you?” I snarled, terrified of the voice in my head. “I am Hela Morrígan! Goddess of death and rebirth. Your life was used to fulfill a prophecy, and we were reborn to bring about the great Armageddon,” she replied coldly, and goosebumps erupted across my skin. “I am a part of you as much as you are a part of me. Born from tears and fury, your willing heart would end the world so it would return healed of the differences that hunt your love.” She added.

"And I'm going to enjoy breaking you." The next day, I summoned another new addition to my harem – Helena, a noble Greek woman from Athens. She was brought before me, her head bowed in submission. "Look at me," I commanded. She raised her head, and I saw that she was beautiful, with long, dark hair and bright blue eyes. But there was a fire in those eyes, a defiance that I found incredibly arousing. "Tell me, Helena," I said, circling her like a predator. "What do you think of your new life as a member of my harem?"

“There’s Oscar, who’s always siding with his family. Deca and Magda, both insane… Which means Helena has no allies in the Padip household.” I tapped the desk and noticed a thick green book with a password lock. “I’m in Helena’s body. I should know the password.” But instead of memories, an image of a tall, handsome man—definitely not blind, and not crippled—flashed in my mind. When I opened them, one name stood clear: Julian Joja. I seem to remember something about him in the book. I closed my eyes while writing something with my hand trying to dig into Helena's memory.

Her fingers had been reset and splinted, her hands heavily bandaged where they rested over the blanket that covered her. “Easy,” Helena replied as she left the room. Aislen wondered what she’d make of Talen and Heath f-king in the office, and smirked. Abigail’s eyes opened a slither, the torchlight catching in their liquid sheen, and Aislen started, the smirk falling from her lips.

In chaste bands, the matrons of Elysium honored their new queen with songs before the newlywed goddesses went to their secluded room. Through the open windows, the breeze from the five rivers carried the sound of hissing waves dashed against the thirsty black shore. Inside the chamber, a bronze brazier burned away with its brilliant flames. The flower-scented space was finely lit like a dream. Their marriage bed was neatly made for them with red petals of roses laid beautifully. With genial and kindly fashion, Hades induced her young wife to sit on a soft cushioned seat beside herself.

She continued, still in the same tone. Aaron was still confused. As a result, a deep frown brought his eyebrows together. Really, what happened to his wife? "Did I do something wrong?" If it wasn't her, he must have made a mistake unknowingly. And the punishment was the strange behavior of his woman. Helena gave a soft shake in response. She began to bring her face closer to his face and cut the distance between them until nothing was left.
