My fists clenched at my sides, and I felt something clawing at the edges of my control. Something primal. Was that… Fenris? Before I could fully immerse myself in that feeling, my thoughts were cut short by the sight of the young man. He rushed to her side, stepping between her and the rogue like some self-righteous hero, his back straight, his stance firm. Like he could protect her. The rogue wasn’t impressed. It snarled, baring yellowed fangs, muscles tensing as it prepared to lunge. That was all it took.

Just then, a man pushed through the crowd and stepped in front of Derek. “Alpha, give the word—we’re ready.” It was his Beta, voice calm but filled with authority. Kelvin froze, as if struck by lightning. “What… what did you call him? Alpha?” he stuttered. Derek tilted his head, smirking. “Do you doubt the existence of the Rogue Pack?” Kelvin didn’t answer. His lips moved but no words came out. Alex, still seated, looked stunned. “Wait… that Rogue Pack? The one that’s invaded territory after territory over the past years? The one with the mysterious Alpha no one has ever seen?”

" I cut him off with a cough. Their attention was turned to me, " who is this?" Blondie asked " she's the rogue we just caught dumbass" sadist answered irritatedly. Blondie's eyes widened " the rogue is a 'she'?"" Yes fool! I told you through the mind link" sadist said fustratedly.

I exhaled harshly and put my earbud back in and didn't push play, closing my eyes to Everett frowning at me. I pretended to ignore the two as I sat back and listened to them talk. "Rogue is an extremely attractive man, um, plus an A+ assassin, he might fall in love with her at first glance and we will be out of the running, Everett mumbled upset and Cassian laughed at him.

The man in front of me growled menacingly. He was crouched in front of my cage and in my position, I couldn’t see his full frame, just his face. But I didn’t need to see him completely to know who he was, I felt the power that seemed to seep from his pores. He could be no other person but the Rogue Alpha that was terrorising the other packs with his pack of miscreants. He was beautiful. I take a break from my work and hunt down and kill rogues that have gone insane. Unlike most werewolves, I don’t kill all rogues, just the ones that are insane. That is why I said that the werewolf treatment of rogues is a problem. Often, wolves who have gone rogue to escape a bad situation and are seeking shelter, are killed or imprisoned simply because they are rogues. Ugh. This annoys me so much. Innocent people are killed because of herd mentality. Why can’t the pack wolves see that some rogues are not bad?
