I thought it was a punishment from the Goddess, perhaps for something I did in another life. As for my mother, well, I thought she was a rogue wolf who'd gotten pregnant by accident. Sometimes it happens with rogues, and in their crazed mental states, they'd just abandon the pups after giving birth to them. The pups would be born in human form and unless they are taken care of immediately, they would die. It was either that or my parents were criminals, at worst pack traitors who were exiled from their packs or were running from them. Honestly, I told myself my mom and dad were just rogues rather than criminals. In my young mind, it meant that at least my parents didn't want to abandon me.

Rogues chose to act like wild animals and their attacks were personal and targeted against those they believed had wronged them in some way. My stepfather had been a rogue through and through. My world is completely torn apart in seconds and I'm heartbroken but I can't crumple now! A mist of rage sweeps over my eyes while a fit of anger I've never known before burns through my veins, I completely lose it and tear into the Rogues that killed my parents. My parents and a lot of our warriors have already been killed and those disgusting Rogues are still coming from the forest, there's too many of them, and I soon realize we ain't going to win this battle there's too many of them, this is over, our pack is over.
