Adam said gently. He was always like that. Adam never once messed with me. "Last night, you came to my room, opened the door, and took off my clothes, and you took off yours. We both enjoyed the night without me knowing that you were Adam. The lights were off so that I couldn't catch your reflection very well. I thought you were Gavin; I couldn't hear your sighs and whispers very well either. I might have. It felt different that night. Matto and Leo shook hands and exchanged hellos. The night came to an end and we all headed out of the club. I said goodnight to my friends and told them that Matto and I would be back in the morning to pick them up. They nodded and headed up to their rooms as the rest of us headed home. Leo followed us all out. "Well, I am heading home. See you tomorrow afternoon right Kendra?" I nodded.

He pointed accusingly at Cade and said, “You should have done this tomorrow at the wedding and not on a fun night where people came to drink and act carefree.” The room burst into laughter again, and just like that the mood lifted. The rest of the night flowed easily after that, softer now but somehow fuller. People drifted into smaller groups. Some stayed outside talking under the lights. Some returned to the food. Some kept dancing. We all retired late. So late that when I finally got into bed, I barely remembered closing my eyes before sleep took over.

Afterward, we quietly held our position together until we fell contentedly asleep again. The next morning we got up as though nothing had taken place and took an early morning swim.
