The diner was an old, renovated shipping container with galvanized walls and linoleum flooring. A 40-something woman with rolled-up hair and heavily blushed cheeks came up to them donning an apron and with a notepad in hand. “Anything?” she soullessly asked. “A double quarter pounder for me please and a side of spiced up fries,” replied Isa. “Vegan Frankenstein burger for me,” replied Agatha. “Just a mayonnaise sandwich,” uttered Mickey.

Damin – POV A knock on the door jolted me awake from my stupor. “Come in.” “We have two bad news,” Dexter said as he walked in. I frowned. “What now?” I didn’t want to sound annoyed but couldn’t help it. It’s been three months, and I haven't been able to sleep or eat, all because of Stella. “Alpha Altair is dead,” Dexter said with a frown. “An assassin from the Night Angel killed him.”

“Aiden made you a bit harsh!.” “I trusted and loved and cared about him!, but what did I get? Huh! Rai grabbed Al's collar roughly, "You didn't smell it? It's Diana! It's Diana's smell!" Al raised an eyebrow, "How do I know! That woman has been bitten by you! I can't smell the scent! Especially in this cold air," he replied, throwing Rai's hand away. "...Ray..." "Huh? Did you hear that?" Rai asked. Al tried to hear, "I didn't hear anything!" "...RAI!" “Also, you poured like you were trying to sedate a bear.” Aria laughed softly, holding her pounding head. “Come on. I need greasy food and coffee or I’m going to die.” They threw on hoodies and sunglasses like two hungover fugitives and trudged downtown to the diner—The Hollow Griddle, Calloway’s beloved greasy spoon, nestled right on Main. The old bell above the door jingled as they stepped inside, and the comforting smell of sizzling bacon, buttery toast, and endless pots of burnt coffee wrapped around them like a hug from someone who’d seen some shit.

“So I really did die… But why are you here then? Did you die too?” Alex shook his head with a smile. “I didn’t…” Anna’s heart jumped. ‘So this guy came to the Underworld to save me!’ ‘My god... you’re just too brave, huh? You’re willing to do something this dangerous and ridiculous. Am I really that important to you?’ Seeing how wary she was, Alex comforted her. “Don’t worry, this is the Pool of Afterlife. The name is literal, so that means this is the direction to an afterlife. Now that you’ve been revived, I will bring you back to your parents.”

Horace, Caelus, Jonathan, and everyone else could only stand there, silently witnessing the carnage. Eden looked at the tall figure. Her vision seemed blurry. Alain returned from the piles of corpses and picked up his blazer. He then held Eden tightly, his voice gentle. "Let's go home." Eden raised her head and looked at him. "Alright." Horace then drove Alain and Eden back home, while Caelus stayed behind to handle the aftermath. Due to Peter's status, he stayed and went directly to the funeral home. On their way back to Skygarden, Eden curled up in Alain’s arms, saying nothing.

"Go away. I don't want you." Edith had lost her mind. For Tyler, she was even willing to abandon Evelyn. She defied the blood ties and the fact that Tyler didn't love her. I secretly called Tyler. "I'm in the inpatient department on the third floor." The show must go on. Devastated, Evelyn stared at Edith. The daughter she had raised with such care was now reduced to this mess.
