Isang mapait na ngiti ang ibinigay niya sa asawa, “Kung ayaw mo sa bata ay wala na akong magagawa. Tapos na ako sa responsibilidad ko sa iyo bilang iyong asawa,” sabi niya bago pa man niya hinubad ang wedding ring na matagal din niyang iningatan.
