************** Letty - POV My blood boiled as I overheard Silas yearning for a weak human mate. I had done everything possible to gain Silas's never care for me, but he refused to consider my offer to be his as a real Luna and not a temporary one. Yet, I longed to be a true Luna.

I approached the guarded gate with no resemblance to that shy girl who'd been cast out. The two Beta guards, towering wolves both with Damon's cold eyes, immediately sighted me. "Well, well, well. Look what the wind blew back," sneered one. "The rejected Omega. See her still hanging around. Are you alive, little Annie?" "I need to see Alpha Damon," I said, trying to show confidence, although I was nothing but a shy, weak woman. The second guard laughed and clapped me on the shoulder with a heavy hand. "You really think the Alpha has time for something as hopeless as you? He's with Luna Cassandra, planning the expansion of the pack! Get lost before we have to drag you away!"

"Uhm, can I have your ticket?" Kane raised a brow, amusement flickering in his blue eyes. "Ticket?" he repeated, his voice deep, teasing. The redhead—Mona, according to her name tag—bit down on her plump lower lip, her gaze darting everywhere except at him. "Sorry, it's just... you look familiar." That made him chuckle. Oh, really? He tilted his head slightly, his gaze flickering to the large poster plastered beside her booth—a giant picture of himself, fists raised, the underground champion.

Catherine took a deep breath to calm herself. "Catherine, I'm sorry, but..." Tatiane reached out and put her hand on top of her colleague's fist. Her tone of voice was calm. "Is there anything else? In the past, I mean, something you would like to tell someone? I know we only met a day ago, and sometimes these things are very personal, but talking to someone who doesn't know your past can be good. I promise not to pass on what you tell me here, even because it won't add anything to me. Just a friend to vent to. Your anger is genuine, but my intuition tells me there's something more."

The former Blood Angel herself is now called the Angel King. “Carley Channing, codename Callisto.” She points to Carley. “She is the medic on the team who wounds only, so the rest of her team has to make the kills.”

He said, raising an eyebrow at me. “She can't blow a punch for her own good, she's not going to be able to save herself if something happens to her, and it was nothing but me training her to know how to sustain herself. As you might know, she is my Luna by name. But that's it. It's just going to be something by name.” I said, and he sighed.

A young woman approached, her steps confident and light, a small smile playing at her lips. She was dressed in black leather armor, her dark hair braided tightly, and a sword rested casually at her hip. "Lady Serena," she said, bowing slightly. "I'm Kiara. Beta of the Blood Moon Pack." Serena blinked in surprise. She hadn’t expected to see a woman among the warriors—and certainly not holding the high rank of Beta.

I don’t know how Luna Ahsoka has been able to remain so calm. Luna Ahsoka has been in some sort of trance for hours now. She thought the note meant to the last house she was in before she was rescued by Alpha Nico, but she was wrong. She has since been still as a statue and her eyes have been pure white for hours. Kai says to be patient though that is easier said than done. I can’t stand just not doing anything while my mate continues to get hurt.
