The Wolf's Call (Book 1)
We’re in what looks like a ridiculously extravagant, sun-drenched dining hall bathed in cool, silvery light.
A long, impossibly polished mahogany table stretches before me, lined with intricate golden teapots, delicate porcelain cups, and towers of cakes and pastries too perfectly constructed to be real.
At the far end, Malakai sits casually, impeccably dressed in a silk baby blue outfit, pouring himself a steaming cup of vivid raspberry-coloured tea, looking every inch the gracious host waiting for his reluctant guest.
An eerie tune suddenly begins playing from a record player at the far end of the room, and it sends chills up my spine.
