And then, suddenly, he spotted a deer, its large brown eyes watching him warily. Alpha Logan's heart leapt with excitement as he chased after the deer, his horse pounding the earth beneath its hooves. He drew his bow and arrow, taking aim at the deer as it bounded through the forest. With a swift and deadly motion, Alpha Logan released the arrow, watching as it soared through the air and struck the deer with precision. The deer let out a faint cry as it fell to the ground, and Alpha Logan dismounted his horse, approaching the deer with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

I opened the car door for her, and she gave me a fleeting smile as she climbed in. I got in beside her, close the car door, and glance across at her. “Alora…” “Look!” she exclaimed, and pointed through the windscreen. Before us stood a magnificent buck deer, its coat gray and long, appropriate for the winter months, its usual white spots hidden in among its fur.

It was too much, too fast. Suddenly, the nearby bushes rustled. Rhea, my wolf, growled. Something was wrong. "Alastor!" I shouted, running towards the bushes. "He's still here!" I pushed aside the branches, and there he was, crouched and ready to attack. Rhea and I pounced, easily bringing him down. "We got him," I said, breathing heavily. "Wendell may have escaped, but we'll make sure Alastor never causes trouble again."

Fife stood by, keeping a look out incase anybody was coming, while Alistair fed on a large wild deer. His fangs were buried in the deers neck as he drained it of blood. The three fell in line and headed into the forest as one of the men kicked dirt over the fire.

But everything happened so fast after that. My body emitted a light, and it came from my stomach. The white mist enveloped me as his hand halted precisely at my chest. I felt his claws pierce my skin, but he didn’t go further, as if he were frozen or he had chosen not to go through with it. “No!” he hissed. I still couldn’t move, but I could see him inching backward, his claws gripping the earth, and his expression was far from surprised — he was terrified.

Night crept in slowly, bringing with it a chill that pierced the skin. Under the full moonlight that bathed the forest in a silvery glow, two wolf figures galloped through the night mist. In front, Altair, a large white wolf with fur that glistened like snow, was traveling at full speed. Behind him, a slightly smaller gray wolf followed with regular breathing-that was Devota.

Cheers grew louder as Alastor took the lead, making a U-turn for the clearing. Juanzo was close behind, his blue-tinted flank knocking the blond wolf aside. The scuffle gave Derith and Odys enough time to catch up. They became a tangle of fur, barreling into the clearing, breaking several young trees as they entered the meadow. A loud chuffing made them separate, gazing towards the oak tree. Standing beneath the leaf-laden branches, was none other than the Ceryneian. It was larger than a bull, with bronze hooves and dark brown spots dotted along its light brown hide. On its head was a pair of beautiful golden antlers that gleamed in the sunlight.
