My heartbeat slows down as he walks ahead lazily. Aleister lets out a loud growl again. I gasp, shifting my attention to him. The darkness gathers around him. If he looked scary before, he looks monstrous now. I think about getting up and saving myself but I don’t get the time. As expected, when he truly wants to finish something he will appear like a Grim Reaper, ready to take the soul without a care. A scream erupts from my mouth as he skips past the distance. For a second, I believe that this is the end. He won’t spare me now.

"My baby," I sat frozen, my blood ran cold as I realized one thing. I'm caught. They will take me back to that basement and beat me. They could kill my babies and me too, I jumped up and backed up into a corner knocking everything off of the side table. I'm scared, no I'm petrified. What do I do? "Ya fucked up girl," Alastair blubbered out. "H-how did you know where we were?" I questioned. "Don't ask stupid questions." Alastair spat irritated.

Their pitiful crying ceased after the last of them fell dead on the ground. Ruby stared at her familiar with fear. He had the power and brutality to do all the things he just did on those wolves upon her if he so desires and the possibility terrifies her. She knew what he was capable of and the thought of him going haywire made her tremble. Aleister walked back in front of her and paused a few feet from her position. "Did I scare you? I'm sorry but I just want to protect you. You understand that, don't you?"

“Not so fast.” We look up and see Alastor in his human form. He has a malicious grin as I see his eyes turn red. He is going to cook us alive. As he prepares to throw a fireball at us he is struck in the shoulder with an ice spear. He growls and glares at Maliyah. “Wait your turn my dear niece.”

I asked. Elara hesitated, wringing the edge of her tattered shawl between her fingers. “Beyond the town’s reach, where the earth rises to whisper to the sky. An unseen mouth yawns wide, swallowing all who enter. A place untouched by light, where echoes have no end and the air is thick with the whispers of the lost.” My gaze darted to Han, the confusion in his eyes mirroring mine. “Can you please elaborate?” I asked. Elara opened her mouth to speak, but before a single word could escape her lips, her body jerked violently as if struck by an invisible force. Her eyes rolled back, and she let out a strangled gasp before collapsing to the floor.

The male threw one last glance at the dark hallway, making sure that whatever that was waiting there would be warned of his wrath. "C-Count Chaol, do you think your castle is haunted?" Asty was incredibly shaken and pale. It was as if she had just witnessed something frightening. She couldn't stop pitching her fingers with was a sign of her anxiety and fear. "How ironic." the count retaliated. "You are more scared of ghosts than me?" "Well, you are someone I speak and touch." Asty protested meekly. "I will go check. Stay here." "Nooo..." she whined and grabbed his arm. "Don't leave me."

But I knew he was a liar. Alistair would kill him. Or make me do it to force me to break. But I wouldn't submit. Not to him. Not if I could help it. He wanted me to freeze in terror, leave me a sobbing mess. Useless. And pointless. But Gabriel knew more than anyone I didn't scare easily. Sure, I hated horror movies, but in reality… Creatures and monsters in my realm of existence. They didn't scare me. Alistair wanted a nightmare. I'd give him a fucking nightmare.

Alastor's face was dumbfounded when he heard July's question. Alastor is already thinking about serious matters, July scares him and worries for nothing. Then it turns out that there is one inner conflict that looks like a joke in this situation.

I had been trying to work up the courage to push open the door and step inside, but my fear had been holding me back. I took a deep breath and tried to shake off the fear that was gripping me. I told myself that I was being ridiculous and that there was nothing to be afraid of. But the fear lingered, refusing to be extinguished. I slowly reached out and grasped the doorknob, my hand trembling as I turned it. The door creaked open, revealing a dimly lit room that seemed to stretch on forever. The room was a whirlwind of chaos as Alastor stormed through it, his anger boiling over like a pot left unattended on the stove. He swept his arm across the table, sending everything placed on it flying

I never realized how peaceful humans look when they are in the depths of deep slumber. Just by looking at one you would think all well within the world, and maybe it is but not in my world. As I watch Sky sleep I realize two things, one being that I have finally embraced the fact that I'm a nonhuman and the other is that for the first time in my life I am truly scared. For the last few days all I have been feeling this intense fear, gut wrenching fear that at any moment one of the demons after me would come and kill the love of my life. Hence why I have been watching him sleep and basically following him around for days now.
