He stood at the corner like a bodyguard, acting different while watching Woods and I talk. I narrowed my brows at him and said to the Alpha, "We're not actually close. The only problem is that Alpha Diego has a relationship with Raymond De Great's daughter, Anastasia. And they have... " "Anastasia?" Woods uttered her name in surprise. His eyes came large, like a cord was struck in him or something. I confirmed, explaining what had really led to Anna's entanglement with the Alpha. "He says she's his mate. They are really close," I added that part, feeling disgusted just by calling her his mate.
