The Wrong Mate, The Right Alpha

The Wrong Mate, The Right Alpha

“I learned my alchemy skills from an old time alchemist. I can make and create ingredients and I learnt thoroughly, it was meant to be for the greater good but the new ways have really made alchemy practicioners redundant. This is all I know how to do… and those who know me know I was one of the best. But that’s old time news.” I looked at the man, truly there was no use for alchemists anymore. We didn’t need spells anymore, what we needed were guns. I tossed a file on the table, there were photos inside with grainy pictures of suspects from across the town and the borderlands. One of those pictures had Aiden’s face on it. “Do any of these faces look familiar to you? Maybe the guys or even o

Alphas and Demons

Alphas and Demons

But it was only a momentary check, as the tense silence between blasts of thunders. The second rush was greater than the first. The snow soon swallowed up the two men or beasts precisely. Then Alvaro’s unmistakable whimper rose above the tumult and the death-eaters chuckled. The silence continued. Space was made around the two men, and Torelli, wiping blood from his nape, began to speak, a devilish smile accompanying. But Alvaro was truly a red-eyed devil as he drew himself together for the spring, hair bristling, mouth foaming, a mad glitter in his bloodshot blue eyes.

DIAMOND

DIAMOND

He ended up taking one whose cover had caught his attention, purple velvet, which seemed to be Ruvyn's favourite colour. He laid down on the bed again and opened the book, it was about the most famous wizards who lived, those who made history. Like Nostradamus who used to make predictions or Rasputin who was a famous healing wizard, who used his sorcery to treat the Tsar and his wife, many times, without forgetting Nicolas Flamel who was the alchemist to succeed, in creating the philosophers stone, and the elixir of life in the 17th century. All those strange people he read about in his fantasy books like Harry Potter existed also in their world and they were somehow related to his new frien

There were half a dozen books on alchemy. He looked awed. "How did you…?" She saw the alchemy books in his room and overheard Matthias mention that Nicholas was planning on joining the Mages after college. During the Thanksgiving break, she took a quick trip to the dilapidated mansion and looked through the library for any alchemy texts. "I pay attention," she replied. He opened one of the books and skimmed over it. "Some of these are first editions and a majority of them are out of print. How did you find these?"

Code of Seduction

Code of Seduction

She startled. Siena knew The Alchemist was a fiction story written by Paulo Coelho, one of Adalfo’s and her favorite books. The story was about a boy who went on an adventure to find treasure. In his journey, the boy found many more precious things, including finding his true love. However, at the end, he managed to find his treasure in a place he had never thought of. “What does it mean, Grandpa?” she complained. She broke the code, but why didn’t it tell her anything about the location of the third asset?

The Knight's Claimed Bride

The Knight's Claimed Bride

Empty. Good. No whispers. Just rows of books that smelled faintly of dust and old leather. I drifted between shelves, trailing my fingers along worn spines. “Herbs of the Southern Marsh,” “Defense Spells of the Fifth Era,” “Principles of Alchemy.” My guards hovered like anxious statues. And then— I stopped. My hand froze on a spine I hadn’t seen in years. The leather was scuffed, the gold lettering half-burnt, but my heart recognized it before my mind did.

Chasing His Stunning Luna

Chasing His Stunning Luna

Smoke curled from the chimney, and the air was thick with the scent of burning herbs. Inside, the space was cluttered with jars, dried plants, and bones hanging from strings. The flickering light of a single lantern threw distorted shadows across the walls. The alchemist moved with surprising grace, her hands already selecting ingredients from the shelves. “You seek a new face,” she said without looking at me. “A new scent, a new name. Marcia, you’ll call yourself.” “How did you—” “I know more than you could fathom, child,” she interrupted, her tone sharp. “Sit.”

Monster Luna Writes Her Own Destiny

Monster Luna Writes Her Own Destiny

The building was more magnificent than I had imagined—stone walls covered with light metal, large glass windows, and a tall tower rising from the center of the roof. As soon as I entered the interior, I held my breath. Corridors branched off into various experiment rooms, alchemists in colorful robes bustled about, and whispers discussing formulas and chemical compositions filled the air. There were many of them. In a typical pack, it was rare to find even one alchemist. But here? They were like stars filling the night sky. Some were laughing over a new formula, others were scribbling notes with trembling ink. Some had clearly been up all night, yet their eyes shone with passion—as if they d

Reclaiming My Broken Luna

Reclaiming My Broken Luna

“Really? That old thing? Do you expect me to believe it holds any real value? It looks like it’s been through a war.” I smirked at her response. Hearing her underestimation only fueled my confidence. “I’m giving this to you since I already have a copy. After reading it, you would know the answer to my question,” I answered her as I carefully handed her the book, afraid that the pages would crumble into little pieces. Giselle inspected the book in front of me with a mix of curiosity and doubt. “An Almega? An offspring of an Alpha and Omega?” Giselle questioned as she skimmed through the pages.

Another book where the female lead suffers for years, nearly a decade, at the hands of the other woman, and her ex. The male lead doesn’t listen to anyone who says the other woman is terrible for years. The author seems to wave a magic wand over all the abuse, and they kiss and make up. Wow.

This book is terrible. The story is just being dragged & same thing is repeated again & again. The ML is the most dumb & brainless Alpha I've ever read. Even his minions are smarter than him & the FL is just another doormat who keeps suffering in the entire book. She never grows a spine. Pathetic!!
