I heard the clicking of camera shutters, but no one called the ambulance. My blood drained dry. My body became cold. Finally, Yvette Skye was no more. I died all alone at the corner of the street. No one cared. My corpse was not a pretty sight. My eyes were wide, unseeing, and there was a large hole in my stomach. My legs were twisted together. One of my arms was flung by the side of the road. My legs were useless now. I was ugly. No wonder the little girl cried. Floating in the air, I stared at my mutilated corpse.

I was told to stand straight, to smile, to look the part of a proud Alpha-to-be. But all I could think about was dying. Not in the melodramatic sense. The kind where you know you won’t make it out of the night alive, and there’s nothing you can do but wait. Because if Selena did know what I knew… then I was already dead.

Rebecca abruptly inquired. "Tyler Tyler Tyler! What's with you and Tyler?!” Alex yelled. "Even when you're about to be publicly humiliated, Tyler is all you can think about?" Alex inquired. "He's still alive, right? Please tell me he's still alive." Rebecca implored, not paying attention to anything else. "What if I told you he's dead?" Alex chuckled. ”Will you bring him back to life?" “No! He can't be dead. You're lying!" Rebecca yelled.

He is here too? “Caleb is dead.” I croak out and look over his shoulder to see Caleb looking out the doorway like he is on watch duty. “We have to get him up and moving. Maybe it’s best you carry him.” He says, looking at me with a sad face. “You’re dead,” I repeat, growing annoyed that no one is fucking listening to me. There is a fucking ghost in here, and I’m the one being ignored?

It laughed so hard that even some of the crying stopped — people freezing mid-sob, stunned by the sheer insanity of the sound. I could feel it vibrating through my chest, every note cutting through my ribs. When it finally stopped, it wiped an invisible tear from the corner of its eye and said, still chuckling, “Have you forgotten?” Its grin twisted. “You’re also dead.” The man’s mouth fell open. “W-what?” he whispered, barely audible. The Game Master leaned down until their foreheads almost touched. “Dead,” it repeated, dragging the word out like a lover’s whisper. “Every single one of you. Including you. You died. You’re not alive.”

Erica asked Alex, who was still looking at her with a blank facial expression. "Yes, I'm dead; right now it's my ghost that is talking to you," Alex said to Erica with a sarcastic tone. "Come on, Doctor Alex, I'm serious. I thought you were dead. I mean, everyone thought you were dead, including Amelia," Erica said to Alex. "Well, that's because I was actually dead. Even I myself thought that I was already dead, but fortunately Adrian saved me, and as you can see, I'm still alive," Alex said to Amelia.
