Alex face was ashen as she stared at the raging form of Alizey, who was ready to kill. The buff man ran from there as Alizey ran behind him like a killer on mission. HIS DARKEST SHADE BOOK-THREE ~Prologue~ “Even if you end up hating me for it.” His tone was vicious. “I might scare you,” he continued, his gaze roaming over her trembling form, “but they are far worse—formidable, vicious… and willing to do whatever it takes to get what they want.” He gestured toward her. “Including you.” “Never.” She shook her head, her voice trembling but firm. “I’m not scared of your words. You’re just trying to scare me so I’ll listen to you!”

Finally, her eyes fell on the page. It was almost empty, expect for one line written in red ink at the right corner of the book. Again, her danger instincts screamed at her, but Alexa was stubborn, even to her own mind. She meant no harm, she told herself again, she just wanted control. She swallowed, then read, "As I claim dominion, let the darkness ignite, and may my will be done, no matter the cost, no matter the night." The second the last word fell off her lips, the book closed. She gasped, her eyes widening. Her back arched abnormally, a loud scream escaping her lips as her eyes closed tightly.

Axel signaled him to come nearer and sit in front of him. “What’s your name and rank?” “I-I’m Sky... and I’m a Psi,” he meekly muttered, pushing his glasses up. Axel understandingly nodded. A Psi, just like Liam. “Good evening to you too, Sky. What do you need?” “W-Well, uh, I just finished reading a book and I-I thought I’d share it with you... Alpha.” Sky gave him the book with shaking hands. He looked down on the cover and read the title: The Anthem of Lycanthropy.

He sneered. We walked out of his apartment, our heads hung low. I thought things would have turned out differently. "Damn it. And I bet we can't break in again," I sighed as we settled into the car. "Who needs to break in when we have all the info we need," Blake smirked as he revealed the book. "Now this is what I wanted to show you," he gulped. Opening the book we saw different locations and pictures of Aubrey along with them. "This is psychotic," Xavier stated as we flipped through.

This pack is good, its people merciful and kind. I still have worries about 300 though because of what happened between her and the alpha before I met her. I was sure she doesn’t have an evil bone in her. So for whatever reason she tried to kill alpha Alec, she must have had a good reason for it. But does that make alpha Alec good or bad? Of that I wasn’t sure.

But without Caleb by my side, I don’t know if I’ll have the strength to go on. I feel so confused. I don’t know what to do next. Please, God, help me…. * As the sun rose in a huge ball over the horizon, Caitlin ran through the streets of New York. It was the apocalypse. Cars were turned over, bodies lay about, and there was devastation everywhere. She ran and ran, down avenues which never seemed to end.
