Lior moved to his side, his hand finding the small of Aziel’s back, grounding them both.
"Speak your final words," Aziel said, his voice cold and devoid of pity.
Darius looked up, not at Aziel, but at Lior. His eyes were wide, the pupils blown out, as if he were seeing something through the omega that no one else could perceive. "You think you’ve won," Darius wheezed, blood bubbling at the corner of his mouth. "But the prophecy... the blood inside him... it is not a gift. It is a hunger. It will consume you both... the ancient blood will never be satisfied."
