Alice Hoffman Novel Novels & Stories

Hi If anyone is waiting for updates on this book - they will happen, but I have some plans for this book, and this is the second story of the series - Rain and Ashes. I am currently working on the first story, and then I will get back to this one - in a few weeks. No, no need to read the first one to understand this one, but probably some details will make sense if read in order.

Alice shows up at Elara's apartment at almost midnight. Elara hears the pounding on her door and checks the security camera. Alice stands in the hallway swaying slightly, mascara streaked down her face. Her hair is messy. Her expensive dress is wrinkled. She looks nothing like the polished woman who murdered Rachel Hart. Elara hesitates. This could be dangerous. Alice could be here to hurt her. But she sees an opportunity. Alice is vulnerable right now. Broken. This might be the moment Elara has been waiting for. She opens the door but keeps the chain lock engaged.

Alice’s face turned red with disapproval. “How can you bully me for feeding you deliciousness, Snugglebug?!” She faked a cry and I loved it as her stomach danced with the motion. “Must be a good book.” I nodded at the novel in her hand since she was keenly engrossed in it earlier. Alice brought it closer to her face as if she wanted me to read it on it. “It's dark romance but it's my type. The female lead falls in love with the villain she hated.”
