But facing this girl, she couldn't help feeling a bit shaken. Camellia chuckled, but as she and Rose caught sight of a large patch of white roses, they both froze. Camellias pondered, "Laura, who owns this island?" "I do!" Laura said firmly. Wind Island was hers, the only place in the world she could call home, despite its bloodshed and brutality. It was the only place she truly belonged. Rose scanned the sea of flowers with deep, cold eyes. Was it really a coincidence? She and Camellia couldn't help but stop in their tracks.

My GPS had led me to the bridge that connected to one of the islands just outside of Miami, but there was no way this was the right bridge. “This can’t be right,” I said, as I checked the address for the second time. I looked out across the water to a small body of land called Virginia Key. Massive mansions decorated the top of the hills. It was by far the most prestigious area in all of Miami. This wasn’t just a well-to-do part of town. The people who lived on the Virginia Key were a different kind of rich. They weren’t millionaires. They were billionaires.

Those boats already anchored bobbed in time with the tide, the small thuds of bright blue mooring lines against the jetties adding to the hushed voice of the ocean. Alison sat on the breakwater, the electronic tablet in her hand. The image of the girl with the strawberry birthmark spoke to her from the screen, saying things that made Alison think deeply, bad things that made her giggle with embarrassment. But she liked her new friend. She was a wonderful companion with whom Alison could pass the time until Erica came.

The girl approached her and tried to wake her friend up. “Flo, wake up Flo.” “Uhh, Alisa?” The Vitanian girl woke up. “Where is this?” she asked. “I, I don’t know either.” Alisa looked around. There was only the dark taiga wilderness. There was barely any lighting here other than the moonlight at night.

He watched from behind as Alice’s body floated towards the shore. “What’s happening?” he demanded, ignoring the tense stares from Alpha Ruben. “I don't know. I feel it inside. Something’s wrong with the water,” Lina responded. Mark stepped closer, but Lina quickly blocked his path, preventing him from reaching Alice as Sally checked on her. Alice coughed, struggling to sit up. Sally supported her. “Iris… Iris is trapped at the bottom,” she gasped.

he smiles as he and Rafe move off out the door. Reflecting on the meeting I say my goodbyes to everyone and head out the door myself. As I turn the corner Lily is standing there watching Alpha Boyd and Rafe going to their suites in the guest wing. She turns to me with a sparkle in her eye, “Is that the Uncle Boyd I just saw?” grabbing her arm, I tell her to keep her voice down, then she adds, “If you aren’t interested in him, I am very interested – he’s a hottie Kate! I think the Moon Goddess just upped her game for you.” Laughing at Lily I shoosh her but not before I glance up and see Alpha Boyd smiling down at me. Clearly, he had heard Lily and found the conversation amusing. Feeling my
