Alice The Cocteau Twins Novels & Stories

she pointed at James and me, “follow me to my office.” I swallowed hard. ‘We’re so dead! She probably noticed I took a picture of the twins,’ I thought to myself. As we walked to Ana’s office, James checked in with her. “How have you been, Ana? It’s been so long since we saw you.” “I’m a single mom now, but I’m happy because my kids arrived. By the way, meet my babies, Princess Xenna Clinton and Prince Xenno Clinton. Babies, meet Tito James and Tito Alex,” Ana said as she introduced the twins.

Inside: hospital records, twin birth logs, an ultrasound image of Savannah as a child—two hearts flickering inside one womb. The twins, the logs confirmed: Savannah Hale and Alice Eveline Quinn. Rolled sequential births. Twins separated. One erased in official records. Savannah stared at the pages as the room spun. “Another Quinn,” Colton gasped. “Alice… was real.” “Our sister,” Nika whispered. The implications slammed into Savannah. Alice had not died. She’d been born. She may still be alive. Elira—Observer—could be Alice. Or another. Savannah’s eyes roamed over the room as if glass walls might crumble and something might emerge.

When I woke up, I was in an underground cell chained with silver, there was no means of escaping. I really wanted to see the face of my kidnapper. Who would dare attack an Alpha werewolf? I tried escaping from the chains, but they would not bulge and I was getting weaker and weaker. It was at that moment that I prayed for a miracle from the Moon Goddess if she would listen to my prayers. It wasn't long before the door rattled, and I was hopeful that it was someone who would rescue me. I thought wrong. It was my mate's Father, the leader of the witches coven. I was surprised to see he was behind my kidnapping.

Alice whispered to them. The burning desire to be with their mate overpowering them beyond all logical considerations, and alpha Maddox snarled at her in a frightening way. They were both yearning to be with their mate and to hold her close in their arms. Alice hoped as she stood in front of them in all her splendor that the Alpha twins wouldn’t scare the Luna away from being their cherished mate.

He must be definitely up to something and she wasn’t going to lose guard of her children. After her shift, she took a shower and sat comfortably on the couch, engrossed in an article she was reading on her tablet. The soft afternoon light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow in the room. The quiet hum of the house filled the air, interrupted only by the distant sound of a passing car. Suddenly, the front door swung open, and the sound of excited chatter echoed through the hallway. Maggie looked up and smiled as her twins, Luke and Leah, burst into the room. They had just arrived home after the school bus dropped them off.

Leam said as he took a quick bite of the eggs. “That is true. It is extremely rare for someone to have two mates, even for twins. It is usually only alpha twins that have a single mate. Although it doesn’t make sense to me.” Lucas said and Leam nodded in agreement. “Considering we are encouraged to have many pups. Not exactly fair to our single mate, is it?” Leam mentioned. “Right, yeah. I was definitely not expecting two mates. I was expecitng more than one and I guess I am worried that I won't be able to satisfy you.”

Cindy was about to answer, but Tate glanced at her, and she shut up. "Tate, can we go to the alpha's mansion to hang out with the twins?" Begonia asked, making me roll my eyes. She clung to Tate and Cindy, hoping to get closer to the alpha heirs, Hayes and Zylon Hawthorne. They were twins, and eighteen, but they had made it clear they weren't ready to choose a Luna yet; they were still "playing the field," as they put it. I, too, had a secret crush on the alpha twins like many girls in the pack, but their interests always leaned toward girls far from me, so I settled for admiring them from a distance.

The fire crackled softly, the only sound in the room as the group stood together, united in their grief and their resolve. The journey back to the pack house was filled with an oppressive silence, the weight of their losses pressing down on every step they took. The air was thick with the unspoken grief of the group, and though the sun was shining brightly, the heaviness of what had happened still cast a shadow over their hearts. The twins, now wrapped securely in blankets, slept soundly despite the turmoil around them. Alice, ever calm, kept a watchful eye on them as she walked beside Kael, who had barely spoken since leaving the cabin.

I hesitated before finally sitting down, crossing my legs beneath me. Alice’s gaze flickered over each of us before she leaned forward slightly. "Before we begin, let’s start with something simple—introductions. I want each of you to tell me who you are, beyond just your name. Magic is deeply tied to identity, to the essence of who we are. So, let’s start there." “My name is Alice Stevenson,” she said, her tone measured, firm, yet strangely comforting. “I am a full witch, thirty-four years of age, and I hail from the Dahlia Coven.”

Luna TJ came into view and placed her hand on Alice’s shoulder, the light coming from Alice’s hands grew brighter and I thought this was it, my life was over without leaving a mark on the Earth. “Nearly there” I heard Alice, it sounded as if she is far away. I felt my lungs fill with oxygen and I gasped for air trying to suck in as much as I can. As my eyes flicker open Alice is smiling at me “It worked, it actually worked” “What are you?” I splutter, yes I was grateful to her for saving my life but she couldn’t have been any older than twelve. “I’m Alice and I am TJ’s half sister and part witch”
