The sharp pain is making me feel like every cell in my body is bursting out of control. “Fools,” the creature hisses in its screechy voice as it prowls away from me, still smiling like it enjoys being a predator and spilling my blood. I desperately want to shift. I need to destroy this evil with the help of my wolf because I can’t do it alone with Callan. “I can see that bloody woman in your mind, Alpha.” The creature hisses again, and I see the wretched smile fading from its face. “W-what woman?”
