She was making a low ,awful sound ,a wounded animal noise that cut through the ringing. My eyes scanned the room. Janita was a motionless heap near the stairs. The seer was slumped against the wall , not moving. Kayla was picking herself up off the ground bead the dais,her hair wild ,her clothes smudged with dirt . She stared at the space where the vortex had been, her face mask of utter loss. “ No “‘ are whispered. Then louder. “NO! It was almost mine!” She turned her gaze to Laila, and it was written with pure hate. “You ruined it! You pathetic, selfish creatures!”

Reana yelled; she ran towards Azura, stopping Conal from doing something foolish. Azura looked at him in horror, her heart suddenly aching. Conal, in front of her, was a complete stranger. She felt trapped in the middle of a nightmare. Conal flashed a cynical, mocking smile that stunned her, his voice as cold as ice ringing in her ears: "Alata, she's the one who hurt you at the party yesterday, right? are not?" Reana turned to look at Alata with menacing eyes, hoping she was telling the truth. However, contrary to Reana's expectations, Alata showed a sinister smile. Then, Alata affirms firmly: "Yes, it is her."

She kicked him furiously and he spluttered on the blood that was threatening to choke him. “I am not Alita. I am not Alita Wells and you aren't my mate.” She kicked him furiously once again and the man groaned. “My name is Alitalia Azealis and my mate is Dante Azealis.” she exhaled heavily and angrily. “And you are the scumbag that took everything away from me. You have no idea how long I have been waiting for this day. For the day I would finally get rid of you. For today.”

(ATLAS’S POV) “It’s okay, Alana. It’s okay.” I said as she screamed and fought against my grip. She was still fighting for a brief moment and then she stopped. It was like she heard my voice and it registered in her brain. She looked up at me sharply and the way she looked made anger fuel in my chest all over again. She looked scared. No, terrified is the word and I could feel her shaking. “Atlas? Is it really you?” She asked in a cracked voice and a low whisper.

Elita moaned as she licked her index finger, she walked closer to Alita and stopped "You need to hear the way he was calling my name, unlike you, he hardly looks at your face" Alita involuntary sniffed, earning a peal of humorless laughter from her rival. "You are one useless bitch" Elita continued "And if I were you, I would have committed suicide long ago" She walked in front of Alita and laughed more, her left hand on her breasts and the right one on her head. "Nobody wants you bitch, just like your parents" Elita smirked. "Do not fucking talk about my parents" Alita's voice became hoarse "Do not push me"

I breathe out and say, “So, um, I guess I should introduce myself and start explaining everything. My name is Mateo Rossi, I am the Beta of the Verona Pack, and I am Alita’s true mate.” Peelle’s eyebrows furrow and he presses his lips together, but he doesn’t say anything. I continue, “I met Alita at a store. I was thrilled, I’ve been looking for my mate for four years and seeing her there was a dream come true for me. But when I hugged her and tried to tell her who I was… she didn’t believe me. She told me she already had a mate and a baby on the way, at the time she wasn’t showing.”

I brush my lips against her forehead, inhaling her sweet alluring scent. “So much drama!” Morrigan declares sarcastically from his cage, the only one that protects him from me and my family. “You should have died!” He spats, pointing towards my mate. “All of you should have died!” He hits the walls made of fire, only to bounce back in pain. His anger was so hot that I felt my phone heat up more, like his ferocity was radiating through the phone. His yelling was so loud that ears nearly popped and I had to hold the phone away to salvage my delicate hearing. "Miguel, you aren't a coward and I never said you were but we can't leave and we can't be together. The goddess hasn't destined it..." "Screw the goddess and her fucking destiny! You are mine Bailey.
